Description

-1- -1-

The present invention relates to an ambidextrous carrying device for individual heavy ballistic shields, by means of two shoulder pads and a ventral support that allow the tactical movement of personnel in a stable and balanced manner, while maintaining its mobility, optimizing its protection. This invention is intended for personnel 05 civilian and military intervention groups using these heavy ballistic protections. The handles usually used, and sometimes accompanied by a strap, passing over the posterior cervical region, on the heavy shields of about twenty kilograms, force to bring it to the strength of the arms and monopolize one of these . As for the strap, it weighs heavily on the posterior cervical region of the wearer, which can cause pain and injury, especially during the waiting phases, which may last several hours. The expenditure on physical energy is then maximal, useless and vigilance diminished. It is necessary to optimize the waiting phases by reducing the arduousness, in order to make available all the energy necessary during the action phases of the wearer. In addition, wearing a shield to the force of an arm and / or with the strap moves its center of gravity, tilts it forward, and therefore exposes the wearer to the threat and minimizes protection. ballistic. The device of the invention overcomes these disadvantages and provides some advantages. . It rests on a rectangular frame, placed at the back of the shield. Fixing plates are welded to this frame and the holes are identical to those of the manufacturer. This does not upset the ballistic properties of the shield. It has a first feature, two shoulders curved in a standard way in the curve of heavy bulletproof vests endowed in specialized services. A first drawback is thus eliminated, the cervical tensions of the wearer. This first feature is completed by a ventral support which rests on the ventral plate of the bulletproof vest. This second feature moves the shield away from the wearer's ventral portion and thus distributes the weight of the shield over both shoulders and abdomen. The shield thus positioned is naturally, vertically, placed on the wearer, without any fastener or strap and allows easy change of hands, see the use of both hands for the wearer (for example: the left hand opens a door, while holding the service weapon in the direction of danger.

The space created between the wearer and the shield allows the seizure of small equipment in the wearer's tactical vest. The shield thus worn provides constant protection for the wearer in the face of a potential danger. The third feature, the shoulder pads are fixed on an axis provided with two torsion springs that allow the flap shoulder pads along the shield. The immediate flap of the 35 shoulder pads with the help of the springs, makes it possible, during the removal of the shield, not to clutter the intervention zone, or allows an emergency release without being trapped in the shield which in some cases can represent a danger. A third important point, concerning the flap of the shoulder pads, it makes it possible to optimize the storage of the shields in the transport vehicles and the storage in the premises of the services. -2- On the two lateral uprights of the structure, are positioned two handles, on each side of the shield for a grip with two hands and, on the other hand, of passage and maintenance of the forearm coming to grip a welded handle vertically on the ventral support. Thus we get two hand positions, for optimal ambidextrous use. The handle in central position 05 is capped with a handle head, avoiding any risk of accidental escape and injury. The side handles, the shoulder pads, the central handle and its ventral support are covered with a grippy grip for better support and maximum comfort. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 represents 3 / the general view of the device of the invention; Figure 2 shows in profile the device of the invention. Figure 3 shows the articulation of the shoulder pads, seen from above, without the abutment shoulder. With reference to these drawings, the device of the invention is fixable on a heavy shield (1) by means of pierced plate, welded to the support, the centers of the bores in correspondence with the bores of the manufacturer. The support (2) consists of a welded rectangular frame, made of flat iron of 20 x 08mm, with dimensions of 345 x 440 mm and 4 flat steel bars of 20 x 08 mm with a length of 150 and 100 mm, welded perpendicularly. and on the upper part to receive the female hinges of the shoulders (11) round tube diameter 12 mm. This last part, perpendicular to the support 20 receives the abutment shoulder (10) in flat iron 20 x 08mm, length of 50 mm, allowing as the name suggests to abut the shoulders when opening. Shoulders (3) made of flat iron of 35 x 04 mm are bent to the curve of heavy duty vests and are 410mm in length. They are welded on a ten mm round iron pin (4) on which are positioned two 180 ° torsion springs (9), which will allow the flap of the shoulder pads along the shield. The two lateral handles (and forearm rest) (5) bent and then welded on the support, are of section 21 mm in round steel tube, allowing the direct entry with two hands or the passage of a forearm grasping the handle central (7). The ventral support (6) is a plate of 80 x 60 mm, in flat iron of 60x5, with rounded corners, is welded on a round steel tube of section 21 mm, with a length of 105 mm, welded itself in the center, perpendicular to the lower part of the support. The ventral support moves the shield away from the wearer by 110 mm. On the tube of the ventral support is welded, vertically and perpendicularly, the central handle (7) in round steel tube 21 mm. It is surmounted by a handle head (8) welded flat iron 60 x 05 mm. The corners are rounded to give it an almost circular and safe appearance.

The device of the invention is particularly intended for manufacturers of heavy shield type ballistic protection, for its use in civilian and military intervention groups.
