Abstract

The device (1) has a flexible laminate (3) comprising an absorbent layer (4), porous inner protection layer (5) and a sealed outer protection layer (6). A stiffening element (7) stiffens a portion of the laminate, where other portion of the laminate forms a flexible portion (10). The element includes a fibrous material layer (8) bonded by a binder, where the element is in the form of a shell (9) and in the form of strip partially covering the laminate. The laminate and the shell are associated by respective edges in the extension of the laminate from the shell. An independent claim is also included for an assembly comprising a sound and heat source and an acoustic and thermal protection device.
