Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de génération de coupons tels que notamment des coupons de réduction. Selon l'invention le dispositif comporte l'unité centrale 2, au moins un terminal 3 associé à une caisse enregistreuse 4 et imprimante de coupons 5 ledit au moins un terminal 3 comportant des moyens de récupération 6 de données dites de caisse en provenance de la caisse enregistreuse 4, des moyens de transmission 7 de données dites d'article avec l'unité centrale 2, permettant de recevoir des données relatives aux articles enregistrés et des moyens de commande de l'imprimante de coupons 5. Ledit au moins un terminal 3 comporte en outre des moyens de stockage 10 des mises à jour des données d'article et des moyens d'établissement 11 des données, dites coupons, à imprimer sur les coupons, permettant un fonctionnement autonome de chaque terminal 3 entre les mises à jour avec l'unité centrale 2.The present invention relates to a device for generating coupons such as in particular reduction coupons. Description

L'invention se rapporte au domaine des transactions de détails et plus particulièrement à des dispositifs permettant de générer des coupons en fonction des achats effectués par un consommateur au niveau d'une caisse enregistreuse d'un magasin de détail. Bien que particulièrement prévu pour une telle application, le dispositif de génération de coupons pourra également être utilisé dans d'autres applications et plus généralement dans tout type de commerce, à destination des particuliers ou des professionnels, pratiquant des réductions ou remboursements sous forme de coupons. ARRIERE PLAN DE L'INVENTION Il a déjà été proposé notamment dans la demande EP 0173835 un dispositif permettant la génération de coupons de remboursements. Ce dispositif est essentiellement composé de terminaux attachés à chaque caisse et en réseau avec une unité de centrale elle même en liaison avec un fichier d'enregistrement de données relatives aux articles. Le dispositif consiste à réaliser une communication en temps réel entre chaque terminal et l'unité centrale de sorte que le terminal communique l'ensemble des données relatives aux articles enregistrés par la caisse enregistreuse en direction de l'unité centrale qui retransmet, en direction du terminal concerné, les informations relatives à ces articles et notamment les données permettant d'imprimer lesdits coupons. Ce type de dispositif est particulièrement satisfaisant puisqu'il permet de partager une unité centrale et un fichier sur l'ensemble des terminaux, ce fichier pouvant être aisément modifié et mis à jour en fonction des changements de politiques de prix. Ce type de dispositif présente toutefois 35 plusieurs inconvénients et notamment il nécessite une communication en temps réel entre chaque terminal et l'unité centrale lors de l'enregistrement des articles par la caisse enregistreuse. Par ailleurs il nécessite de modifier ou d'ajouter des applicatifs logiciels sur le serveur et la caisse enregistreuse auxquels il est lié. Ce besoin de communication constante entraine la nécessité d'avoir un réseau câblé ou hertzien fortement dimensionné permettant une liaison constante entre chaque terminal et l'unité centrale. De plus ce type de réseau rend difficile l'ajout de nouveaux terminaux qui doivent être nécessairement disposés à chaqu instant dans la zone de communication avec l'unité centrale. OBJET DE L'INVENTION La présente invention a pour but de pallier les inconvénients précités et à cet effet de proposer un dispositif de génération de coupons dans lequel les différents terminaux associés aux caisses enregistreuses peuvent fonctionner, c'est-à-dire générer des coupons, sans nécessité de conserver une liaison en temps réel avec l'unité centrale. Un autre objet de l'invention est de proposer un dispositif ne nécessitant pas l'ajout ou la modification du matériel ou des logiciels existants équipant l'unité centrale ou les caisses enregistreuses.
