Le becquet est sensiblement symétrique par rapport au plan P2. Le véhicule est de forme généralement symétrique par rapport au plan P2. Dans l'exemple décrit, le volet est formé d'une structure métallique en forme de cadre, à l'intérieur de laquelle une lunette arrière 14 est montée. La structure est articulée relativement à l'habitacle du véhicule. La structure comprend une traverse supérieure 16. Une partie supérieure de la lunette 14 et la traverse 16 sont visibles en coupe à la figure 2. L'habillage 4 a une section transversale de forme sensiblement identique sur sa longueur, en dehors des extrémités.
