Abstract

The module has a heat exchanger (2) to cool exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine. The heat exchanger is connected to a recirculated exhaust gas conduit (4). A filter assembly (12) is placed in a rectilinear portion (8) of the exhaust gas conduit, and removably fixed on the conduit. A stainless steel flange (16) is connected to the filter assembly through a V-shaped collar type joint (14). A son autre extrémité, l'ensemble de filtre est raccordé à une bride 16 qui peut être moulée ou usinée. On a représenté sur la figure 3, une vue en coupe à échelle agrandie du filtre. Ce dernier comporte une partie conique 22 qui constitue la partie filtrante proprement dite et une partie cylindrique 24 terminée par une collerette 26 pour joint d'étanchéité. La base 28 du filtre est décalée de la distance 30 par rapport au joint de type collier en V de la direction du conduit d'échappement des gaz recirculés, ce qui lui permet de garantir l'étanchéité au gaz. La partie conique du filtre est soudée par une soudure à sa partie cylindrique.30 On a représenté sur la figure 4, une vue à échelle agrandie et en coupe du raccordement du filtre à la bride 16. Cette dernière comporte une collerette 32 sur laquelle vient s'appuyer l'extrémité 26 du filtre formant joint d'étanchéité. Au-dessus du filtre 26, on trouve la collerette 10 qui termine la partie rectiligne 8 de la canalisation de sortie des gaz d'échappement recirculés 4. Un collier de serrage en V 14 vient coiffer ces pièces par le dessus et les maintient serrées. On réalise ainsi une étanchéité aux gaz.
