Abstract

The box-pallet has a rectangular box folded on a palette (2). The box comprises two box elements, where each element comprises central panels (5, 5') and adjacent lateral panels (7, 8, 7', 8') forming the box. The central panels are parallel to one another, and the lateral panels are perpendicular to the central panels in a deployed position. The central panels are secured to the pallet through legs (6, 6'), where the box-pallet is made up of corrugated board.

Description

The present invention relates to the field of pallet boxes whose body is made of a semi-rigid material such as corrugated cardboard.

A box-pallet comprises a box having generally the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, resting on a pallet, wood or other material. The crate and the pallet are integral with each other. In order to facilitate their storage before use or after delivery, it is possible to fold the container body flat on the pallet.

Several types of such pallet boxes are known and they have very wide applications in many technical sectors.

The objective of the invention is to obtain a box-pallet, easy volume setting, to display all the goods contained in the box and to take samples without requiring to extract the totality some products.

The invention achieves these objectives by providing a collapsible pallet box comprising a pallet and a box made of cardboard or other semi-rigid material that can be folded flat on the pallet, characterized in that the box is constituted two elements each comprising a central panel and adjoining side panels hinged, so that the body is formed of two central panels parallel to each other and side panels overlapping two by two. In particular the central panels are fixed on the pallet.

The box thus obtained is easy to implement. Also, when the crate is mounted on the pallet, a control of the goods can be performed by tilting the body elements, while avoiding to extract the products.

In addition, this box is foldable flat on the pallet, allowing easy storage empty. According to a feature of the invention, each box member is formed of a cardboard plate with the fold lines delimiting a central panel and two side panels. Preferably, in the deployed position, the side panels are inverted so that a side panel of one member is within the side panel of the other member and vice versa.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the central panel is secured to the pallet by means of a lower tab, fixed by stapling or gluing.

According to the invention, the pallet comprises angles whose one side is fixed on the pallet, the other side being parallel to the side panels, and serving as abutments to the side panels.

The box, according to the invention, comprises a lid, formed of a plate with flaps, allowing, on the one hand, to cover the body, when it is in volume, and on the other hand, to cover the central panels and side panels forming the body elements, when folded on the pallet.

An embodiment of the invention will now be described in more detail, by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the body elements attached to the pallet; Figure 2 shows a top view of the body in volume; Figure 3 is a view of the box of Figure 2 during assembly, disassembly; Figure 4 shows the box in use position, with the cap protecting it.

FIGS. 1 to 4 show a box-pallet assembly comprising a pallet 2 and a box 4. The pallet is used during the storage and transport of the goods, and to this end serves as support for the box 4 comprising two first walls and two walls perpendicular to the first walls, forming two by two the vertical sides of the box.

This box 4 is composed of two opposed box elements 3 and 3 ', 30 articulating on the pallet 2 and folding on said pallet. Each of the two body members is composed of a central panel 5 and 5 ', on which articulates, at its ends, two adjoining side panels hinged. In storage position the side panels are folded flat on the central panel of the two elements of the box, itself folded on the pallet 2. The central panels of the two elements form the first walls parallel to each other, when they they are erected, while the perpendicular walls are constituted by the side panels.

The elements 3 and 3 'are secured to the pallet 2, via the tabs 6 and 6', positioned in extension of the central panel 5 and 5 '. Said tabs are fixed on the pallet by stapling or gluing and allow the articulation of the central panel, and its adjoining side panels, with respect to the pallet.

Other equivalent methods of attachment are possible.

The side panels 7 and 8 of the element 3, articulate along the fold lines 9 and 10, such that in the position of use, said side panels form walls perpendicular to the pallet 2. The pallet 2 comprises two angles 11 and 11 ', compact cardboard, one side is fixed on the pallet, the other side serving as a stop for the side panels in the mounting position.

As seen in FIG. 2, viewed from above, the side panels are positioned in an inverted manner so that a side panel of one member 3 is inside the side panel of the other member. 3 'of the body 4 and vice versa.

The assembly will now be described. The element 3 is raised on the pallet 2, by the articulation of the lower leg 6, the side panels 7 and 8 being articulated at 90 ° around the fold lines 9, 10. The bracket 11, attached to the two lateral ends of the pallet, serves as a stop to the side panels and allows to maintain them in the mounting position when they are articulated at 90 ° with respect to the central panel of the element 3. The lid 25 is dimensioned so as to fit on the box 4, when the it is mounted. Moreover, when the elements 3 and 3 ', and their adjoining side panels are folded over the surface of the pallet, said cover allows to cover the assembly.

To open the box, we first remove the lid 25, then we swing out one or both elements 3 or 3 ', to give access to the products in the box. Thus, the interior of the box can be viewed, without extracting all the products contained.

To fold the box, it first clears the side panels from their vertical position by pivoting around the fold lines, then, we tilt back the central panels. The side panels are then folded over the central panel of each element and finally each of the two elements of the box can then be folded on the pallet 2.

The body, thus folded, occupies a reduced height, which provides a compact assembly, thus reducing storage costs and empty transport, which represents a significant economic advantage. Furthermore, the reassembly of the container is easily performed using a series of operations opposite to those described above.
