Un panneau tactile composé comprenant une unité de panneau tactile capacitif; une unité de panneau tactile résistif et une unité de traitement de signal; l'unité de panneau tactile capacitif est imbriquée dans l'unité de panneau tactile résistif; les signaux de détection de l'unité de panneau tactile capacitif et de l'unité de panneau tactile résistif sont transférés vers l'unité de traitement de signal; l'unité de traitement de signal disposant d'au moins une loupe de détermination de signal pour déterminer les signaux de détection provenant de l'unité de panneau tactile capacitif ou de l'unité de panneau tactile résistif de façon à sélectionner un mode de traitement de signal prédéterminé. Ou l'unité de traitement de signal disposant d'un commutateur de signal manuel pour sélectionner un mode de traitement de signal basé selon que les signaux de détection proviennent de l'unité de panneau tactile capacitif ou de l'unité de panneau tactile résistif. Lorsque l'unité de panneau tactile capacitif est sélectionnée à partir des signaux de détection, les films conducteurs de l'unité de panneau tactile résistif sont court-circuités pour mise à la terre.
