Abstract
Description
Currently, a classic bank card only contains the name, surname and signature of the legal cardholder as identification; however these items are never verified during purchases. The secret code allows to associate the owner and the classic bank card, but it can be transmitted knowingly or copied fraudulently. The device of the present invention allows merchants to easily associate buyer and bank card. The bank card equipped with the device of the invention makes it possible to identify the owner of the bank card. The device of the present invention consists of a photograph incorporated in the bank card, the digitized signature and a logo representing the country of issue of the bank card. This only requires a visual check from the merchant. According to the embodiments: - The photograph of the legal holder of the bank card is a digital photograph or digitized and printed directly during the production of the bank card on the front. The applicant for a bank card attaches a photograph to his card application and it will be scanned for inclusion in the card in the same way as the issuing bank's logo, or a digital photograph may be taken in the cards. local bank branch and transmitted via an electronic file with the card application to suppliers producing the plastic card. - The photograph of the owner of the credit card is incorporated into the electronic chip on the card so that it can be viewed remotely on a device located near the merchant. This case often occurs because the merchant no longer handles the customer's credit card. The photograph appears in the payment sequence, is validated by the merchant, then followed by the authorization of payment following the validation of the secret code. the logo of the issuing country is also integrated when printing the bank card. - the signature of the owner of the credit card is also digitized and integrated on the back 30 of the card. The accompanying drawings illustrate the device of the invention: FIG. 1 represents a front view of the bank card comprising the device. Figure 2 shows a view of the back of the bank card with the device. -2- The identification device is integrated into the standard plastic bank card (PVC) when printing: The photograph (1) should be a front view, from the shoulders to the head, in color on a white background with dimensions close to 45 mm x 55 mm.
The photograph (1), the logo of the issuing country (5) as well as the signature (3) are digitized so that they can be integrated with the other computerized elements (bank and credit card logos, hologram, magnetic stripe, texts , background) or physical (microchip) to the plastic card during printing according to the so-called dye sublimation and / or heat transfer technologies. This device makes it possible to improve the security of the card because all these components are melted in the PVC and it is impossible to substitute one photograph for another. The duration of legibility of the signature (3) and the impossibility of rewriting it (application of a laminate patch preferable to the coating varnish) reduces the risk of forgery of the bank card.
Prior to the incorporation of the electronic chip (2) into the plastic card, the digital or digitized photograph (1) has been stored in the electronic chip (2). The program for reading bank cards will have to be modified. Indeed, a computer coding is necessary in order to allow the display of the photograph (1) of the owner of the card by the merchant as well as the validation of the association photograph-buyer by the merchant. The device according to the invention applies when creating all bank cards currently used and would be used by the entire banking industry.
