Abstract
Description
DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to the field of personal hygiene, in particular the cleaning of the orifices and body conduits, and relates to a utensil for cleaning orifices and body conduits. Many types of utensils serving a function of cleaning a body orifice, in particular nostrils or ear canals, are already known. These are generally disposable articles in the form of rods provided at least at one end with a cleaning pad, in particular cotton or foam, optionally shaped in a particular manner to increase its effectiveness. However, these items are not effective in removing dry and encrusted deposits. In an attempt to overcome this disadvantage, other cleaning utensils have been proposed which have a functional end of a harder material, possibly shaped as a drill or strawberry spoon. Nevertheless, although being more effective for encrusted deposits, this second type of utensil allows only small amounts of deposits to be removed and exposes the user to a non negligible risk of injury in case of mishandling. Moreover, none of the two types of aforementioned utensils allow adaptation to different sizes of body orifices, unless having a series of different sizes. A third type of cleaning utensils utilize a vacuum source and perform suction deposition, optionally coupled to a scraping or scraping function. The latter type of utensil is complex, expensive, cumbersome and not without risk when using it. The object of the present invention is to overcome at least the major limitations and disadvantages set forth above. To this end, the invention relates to a device for cleaning orifices and body conduits, in particular a nostril of the nose or auditory canal of an ear, comprising a gripping and handling part having an elongate configuration. , for example in the form of a rod or rod, and an end functional part configured to perform a scraping or scraping function of the duct into which it is introduced, during an adequate operation of the utensil, utensil characterized in that the end functional part is constituted by a plurality of fins or elongated strips and elastically deformable by bending or stretching, said fins or strips being carried by an elongated support body in the form of a rod, and in that that a member for adjusting the curvature or bending of the fins or lamellae is provided at or adjacent to the gripping and handling part, the position or state determines the configuration of said end functional part and whose movement or manipulation causes a change in the shape, in particular of the curvature, of said fins or lamellae. The invention will be better understood, thanks to the following description, which refers to preferred embodiments, given by way of non-limiting examples, and explained with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawings, in which: FIG. a side elevational view of a manual cleaning utensil according to a first embodiment of the invention; Figures 2 and 3 are sectional views respectively along A-A and B-B of the utensil shown in Figure 1; Figure 4 is a side elevational view of the apparatus of Figure 1 in the disassembled state; FIGS. 5A, 5B and 5C are views from above, in side elevation and in perspective, respectively, of the apparatus of FIG. 1 in a first state of use; Figures 6A, 6B and 6C are respectively top, side elevation and perspective views of the apparatus of Figures 5 in a second state of use; Figures 7, 8 and 9 are top views of other embodiments of the utensil according to the first embodiment of the invention; Figures 10A and 10B are perspective views at two different angles of a fin or blade forming part of a utensil according to the invention, in the curved state; FIG. 11 is a side elevational view of an utensil in an exploded or disassembled state, in accordance with a second embodiment of the invention, and FIG. 12 is a top view on a scale. different from the elongated support body forming part of the utensil shown in FIG. 11. FIGS. 1 to 9 and 11 thus show a utensil 1 for cleaning ducts and body openings, in particular a nostril of the nose or of the auditory canal. of an ear, comprising a portion 2 for gripping and manipulation having an elongated configuration, for example in the form of a rod or rod (which can in particular be grasped and manipulated between two fingers), and an end functional part 3 configured to perform a function of scraping or scraping the conduit or the orifice into which it is introduced, during an adequate operation of the utensil.
According to the invention, the end functional part 3 is constituted by a plurality of fins or strips 4 that are elongated and elastically deformable by bending or stretching, said fins or strips 4 being carried by an elongate support body 5 in the form of ring. A member 6 for adjusting the curvature or bending of the fins or lamellae 4 is provided at or adjacent to the gripping and handling part 2, whose position or state determines the configuration of said end functional part. 3 and whose movement or manipulation causes a modification of the shape, in particular of the curvature, of said fins or lamellae 4.
With the provision of vanes or elastically deformable strips 4, the utensil 1 can be adapted in a controlled manner to orifices and conduits of different diameters, always ensuring optimum contact between the inner surface of the duct to be cleaned and the fins 4 forming as many blades moved by rotation of the utensil.
Preferably, one 4 'of the ends 4', 4 "of the fins or lamellae 4 is fixedly mounted or formed integrally with the elongate support body 5 and in that the other end 4" of said fins or lamellae 4 is displaceable in translation under the action of the adjusting member 6, said fins 6 being able to be deformed between, on the one hand, an elongated substantially rectilinear or slightly curved configuration, in which they extend at a short distance, possibly substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis X, of the support ring 5 and which corresponds to -4- the retracted position of the functional part 3 and, on the other hand, a curved configuration, corresponding to the deployed position of the functional part 3 , in which they define an elliptical or spherical volume and each form an arc with respect to said longitudinal axis X of the support rod 5. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention, FIG. Squeezing the appended figures, the fins 4 naturally have, in the absence of stress, a substantially linear shape or slightly curved extension, bending or increasing their bending being achieved by bringing their two ends 4 'and 4 "closer together. under the action of the adjusting member 6. Thus, the bending of the fins or the increase of said bending (from a minimum bending of origin), is a modification or forced deformation (controlled by the thickness and or the degree of flexibility of the material constituting the fins or by preferred folding zones), the straightening of the fins or the reduction of the bending that may result from their elastic return to their natural shape or also be forced by the adjustment member 6 In accordance with another embodiment variant, not shown in the accompanying drawings, the fins 4 naturally have, in the absence of stress, a curved shape, with an maximum noisiness, their straightening or straightening being achieved by spacing their two ends 4 'and 4 "under the action of the adjusting member 6. In this second variant, the rectification or reduction 25 of the glazing fins 4 constitutes the forced modification via the adjusting member 6. In accordance with an advantageous practical embodiment of the invention, particularly apparent from Figures 1 to 6 of the accompanying drawings, the fins 4 are secured, on the one hand, with 5 'of the ends of the elongate support body 5, being fixed on or formed integrally with this end 5' or a cap-shaped tip 7 formed or attached thereto, and, on the other hand, on the other hand, with a ring-shaped or sleeve-shaped part 8 slidably mounted on the elongate support body 5, said part 8 being able to be brought closer to and / or removed from the aforementioned end 5 'of the elongate support body 5 by the action posit The fins 4 may optionally be formed in one piece with the ring 5 or with the ring or the sleeve 8, being articulately connected with the other of said rods. 5 or ring 8. In accordance with another embodiment of the invention, apparent from Figure 11, the utensil 1 may be at least constituted, on the one hand, by a first part comprising the ring 5 provided with an enlarged end 5 'in the form of a dome or cap, on the other hand, by a second part comprising the fins 4 and two annular structures 8' and 8 "interconnecting the respective ends 4 'and 4" opposite said fins 4 each fin 4 being articulatedly attached to each of said annular structures 8 ', 8 "and, finally, by an adjusting member 6, the latter and the end 5' having respective sites 13 and 13 'for fixing or anchoring, if necessary removable, for example by engagement elastic or interlocking, said annular structures 8 'and 8 ".
Thus, the utensil 1 is obtained by assembling the three parts shown in FIG. 11, by engaging the annular structures 8 'and 8 "on the ring 5, then hooking up the structure 8" at the site 13, and then mounting of the member 6 on the ring 5 and finally hooking of the structure 8 'at the site 13'.
The adjusting member 6 may for example be of the displacement controlled type notched with the rod 5. Preferably, the adjusting member 6 is a rotary member whose rotation causes a change in the curvature of the fins 4, this in function of the direction of rotation of said member 6.
As shown in particular in Figures 1, 2, 4, 5A, 5C, 6A, 6C and 11 of the accompanying drawings, the member 6 may advantageously consist of a ring or a sleeve with internal thread engaging with an external thread 9 present on the elongated support body 5, in the region of displacement of the movable ends 4 "of the fins or lamellae 4 and, if appropriate, of the ring-shaped or sleeve-shaped piece 8 or of the annular structure 8 ', said member adjusting device 6 engaging with said ends 4 "of the fins or lamellae 4 or with said part 8 or structure 8 'so as to determine their position in the longitudinal direction X of the elongate support body 5, and to ensure their displacement by pushing and / or traction. This results in a precise adjustment, perfectly reversible and virtually effortless for the user. In the example of utensil 1 -6- illustrated in the accompanying figures, the engagement comes down to a simple pressurized pressing of the part 8 on the sleeve forming the adjusting member 6 (this sleeve may advantageously comprise a pattern 11 knurled, grooved or ribbed facilitating its rotational drive by the user).
In order to increase the efficiency of the scraping operation during the rotation of the utensil 1, the fins 4 may comprise on one of their longitudinal sides a scraping edge 10, possibly with a non-rectilinear, corrugated, crenellated profile or toothed, and have a non-symmetrical structure seen in section along a plane perpendicular to their longitudinal direction or the longitudinal direction X of the support body 5, so that said ridges 10 are outwardly bent in the curved state of said fin or lamellae 4, because of a corresponding orientation or rotation of the latter around their longitudinal direction, depending on their degree of bending (see FIGS. 3, 5A, 6A, 5C, 6C, 7 to 9 and 10). As shown in Figure 10, the fins 4 advantageously have a variable section in their longitudinal direction, namely a round or ellipsoid wide at the ends and flatter in the middle, so as to have larger lateral dimensions in the center (section tapered profile), such as blades. The deformation of the fins 4 can be either symmetrical (formation of a symmetrical volume during their deformation), or asymmetrical (for example by providing fins 4 with a variable section - larger at one of their ends), for s optimally adapt to the internal volume of the orifice or cavity to be cleaned (egg, pear or the like). Preferably, at least the end functional part 2, preferably all of the utensil 1, is made of a plastic material compatible with the intended use, in particular hypoallergenic or biocompatible. In addition, the gripping and handling part 2, situated opposite the functional part 3 and after the adjusting member 6, may consist of a grooved or ribbed zone of the elongate support body 5 or a sleeve 12 to grooved or ribbed outer surface attached to said support body 5, with locking or rotation. The sleeve 12 may optionally also be made with an internal thread adapted to cooperate with a threaded zone of the ring 5, so as to constitute a lock nut, able to lock in position the nut formed by the adjusting member. 6. In practice, the number of fins or lamellae 4 is between 3 and 10, preferably between 4 and 8 (for example 6).
When all of the utensil is made of a low cost material, the latter can be disposable. In the opposite case, or when it is desired to have a utensil 1 covering a very wide range of use (in terms of sizes) without multiplying the number of said utensils 1, it can be expected that the functional part 3 , possibly incorporating a part of the support body 5, constitutes an interchangeable part. The ring 5 may have at its end 5 'protruding formations (ribs) or re-entrant (grooves) on its rounded outer face (scratching at the end) and at its opposite end, a knurled or fluted surface 15 allowing the locking of the ring during the adjustment. Advantageously, and as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the end 5 'or the domed end piece 7 or hemispherical cap is provided with (e) several scraping formations 14, 20 protruding and / or re-entrant , preferably defining edges extending from the apex to the edge of said dome or cap, being distributed around said apex. The utensil 1 provided by the invention has several major advantages over known utensils performing a similar function: it is adapted to different orifices or cavities; - It is adjustable, adjustable in size; it can be cleaned after use and reused; it provides a scraping function; it does not result in a push of substances inwards; the substances and materials removed by scraping are recovered within the defined volume and delimited by the fins 4 (no deposit on the surface). Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, particularly from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of the invention.
