Abstract
Description
Secteur de la technique La présente invention concerne l'aquicultureTECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to aquaculture
marine, et plus particulièrement la culture de mollusques suspendus à des structures flottantes, en proposant une cage à caractéristiques particulières pour cette fonction. marine, and more particularly the culture of molluscs suspended to floating structures, by proposing a cage with particular characteristics for this function.
STATE OF THE ART The aquatic culture of molluscs by suspending them from floating structures finds its most conventional solution in the use of ropes on which are disposed the seeds of the specimens to be cultivated. This solution, however, entails significant limitations in terms of usability and the types of cultures for which it can be used, which has led to the development of solutions based on structures composed of perforated containers or boxes. , forming a superposition of floors, these solutions finding a distant origin in traditional Japanese and Chinese systems. Currently, there are different models of container structures or boxes forming superimposed stages, namely: Model 1: A superposition of boxes formed of a very flexible network, which is given consistency by means of a wire frame. This solution determines a structural assembly difficult to dismantle, reason why, to adapt the mesh type to the format of the animals to be cultivated, it becomes necessary to replace the entire structure in each case. Model 2: A series of stages formed by rigid plastic plates placed inside a very flexible tube of thread, the edges of the dishes being sewn to the tubular net, while the different dishes of the structure are united between them by means of three or four cables attached to the edge thereof. This solution has an expensive complicated layout, so that to adapt the type of network to the format of the animals to be cultivated, the most practical thing is also to replace the whole structure in each case. Model 3: A stack of perforated circular baskets, made entirely of rigid plastic, which are arranged united by means of a central axis. In this solution the perforations of the baskets are large, so that to grow small animals, it is necessary to put small baskets in the baskets accessories with smaller perforations, which is very expensive and, in addition, the incorporation of the small accessory baskets makes it difficult for water to enter the baskets, which limits the food supply to the animals in culture and, consequently, the growth thereof is slow.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION According to the invention there is provided a cage for the aquatic culture of molluscs, developed according to a structural formation which combines the characteristics of the known solutions, by satisfactorily solving the disadvantages thereof. This cage object of the invention comprises a rigid structure formed by perforated trays provided with a central hollow axis, by means of which is established a nesting between the successive trays in superposition, passing through all the assembly a central cable which maintains the union and allows to suspend the structure in the application of use, while from the outside there is a tubular flexible plastic net, which is supported by lips of the edge of the trays, so that is easy to replace. This gives a cage whose structural assembly provides rigidity which prevents deformation, while the flexible thread tube which forms the outer wall can be removed and replaced easily, allowing the mesh to be adapted to the animals that are grown. without having to replace the entire structure of the cage or to disassemble all of the rigid structure thereof, and further, emptying the housing that determines the cage is not necessary to replace the mesh. The disassembly of the outer mesh further facilitates the cleaning of the cage, while the flexible mesh which is used in this external covering function allows an optimal fluidity of the passage of the water and consequently the food intake for animals that are grown, the magnification of these being therefore fast.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention relates to a cage for the aquatic culture of molluscs by suspension to floating structures, said cage being composed of a rigid structural assembly (1), on which a mesh (2) outer covering.
The structural assembly (1) is formed by a series of trays (3) of rigid plastic, such as polypropylene, which are arranged in superposition, forming a vertical distribution of enclosures or spaces between them, such way that said distribution can vary, by varying the number of trays (3), depending on the size of the cage that is desired. Each plate (3) comprises a base (3.1), preferably circular, provided with perforations (4), said base (3.1) being surrounded by a perpendicular edge (3.2), while the center has a frustoconical axis (3.3) which projects itself axially through the upper part. The perpendicular edge (3.2) determines lips (5), on which it is established the maintenance of the outer mesh (2) of the cage by means of mooring straps, so that the assembly and disassembly of said mesh is easy to achieve, which allows to replace the mesh (2) and adapt the dimensions thereof depending on the case of application of the cage.
The central axis (3.3) is hollow, having externally an end section (6) constricted, by means of which it is likely to fit into the axial recess (7) of another plate (3) by the part lower, so that in the superposition of trays (3) constituting the structure (1) of the cage, the various trays (3) fit into each other, by means of said sections (6) of their axes ( 3.3), forming an assembly which maintains the structural assembly (1) stable. Within the axes (3.3) of the set of trays (3) which form the structure (1) of the cage, is further included in the assembly, a cable (8) which passes through all the together, by means of which one attaches the coupling between the various trays (3), and at the same time, with said cable (8), which leaves by the upper part, it is possible to suspend the cage during its use.
The outer covering is established with a flexible mesh (2), preferably made of plastic, which can be easily handled for assembly and disassembly, it may be provided to be replaced when the development of the culture requires to vary the dimensions mesh, or change the number of culture copies in the spaces of the cage. According to one embodiment, said outer mesh (2) may, however, have lateral openings that can be used for the extraction or introduction of the cultured animals, as well as to facilitate feeding tasks when the crop requires it, such as in the case of gastropods and sea urchins. With the characteristics described, the recommended cage is suitable for the different phases of the aquatic culture of mollusks, from the pre-enlargement of the seed from the breeders, to the enlargement to the commercial size, being especially indicated for the cultivation oyster, clovis, pectinids, sea urchins and sea-ears, without excluding the application for any other mollusc 20 having a similar type of culture.
