Abstract

The lock actuating mechanism consists of a slider (9) that moves relative to a cover plate (7) and is connected to a rotary cam (27) that actuates the lock control box pinion (5), with the rotation of the cam locking or unlocking the sliding door (1). The plate is made thin enough, e.g. 2 - 3 mm, to allow two sliding doors to overlap for cleaning purposes, and the slider clips into it so that it can be moved either vertically or horizontally. A window (23) in the slider displays colour symbols (25) that show whether the door is locked or unlocked.
