Abstract

The device has a pivoting unit pivoting a strap (14) of a belt in a gripping position of the strap by the user and a usage position of the belt. The unit has a support (18) mounted on a pivot (20) integrated to a fixed part of a vehicle and an articulated arm (22) articulated around an axle (24) that is fixed to the support. The axle is horizontal so that the arm is displaced in deployed position (26) and folded position (28). The arm has a guiding unit which has a strap passing between the axle and the arm and the strap passes across a loop (30) so that the strap is guided below the arm.
