Abstract

The oil pan has a vessel (12) defining an oil receiving volume and an upper opening bordered by a clamping plate (14) integrated to the vessel for mounting the plate on a crankcase of a combustion engine. The vessel has bumps (18A, 18B) such that the volume projects laterally relative to a cylinder in the direction of an axis perpendicular to the level of oil at rest in the pan while being supported on an outer contour of the plate. The plate has a circular hole to receive a screw that is inserted by a cannon extending from a base of the vessel to the hole to fix the plate on the crankcase.
