Abstract

MODULAR UNITS, DISPLAYS AND EVOLUTIVE STORAGE

  The present invention relates to modular units for making scalable devices for displaying and / or storing objects.

  The invention also relates to said evolutionary devices constructed using these units.

  The technical field of the invention is that of the design and manufacture of elementary building parts for the realization of these devices for sale.

  Such devices are known to be made of standard parts, metal, plastic, or wood, often of significant size because for the most part comprising several object holders and therefore suitable for only a few achievements or not evolving in space, such as turnstiles, towers, panels or gondolas.

  Thus, the metal devices are made, for the most part, by the work of the wire which requires various operations, such as cutting, bending, welding, anti-corrosion treatment and painting, which is does not lend itself to complete automation and has a consequent cost.

  Other known devices consist of parts obtained by plastic molding, whose shapes are limited by the technical constraints of machining molds of large size, which are therefore expensive.

  Wooden devices, in turn, are often aesthetic but high cost due to the cost of this material and its work.

  All these devices also have the disadvantage of being standardized to expose identical or similar products.

  Moreover, according to these techniques, the costs of handling, packaging, storage and transport are not negligible.

  The invention proposes to create, preferably by plastic processing, attractive modular units formed of one or a few simple pieces of reduced size and simple design obtained at lower cost, in order to build displays and storage units. competitive and aesthetic of a new kind not suffering from the disadvantages of known devices, and which are easily assembled and dismountable without tools or special skills while being functional and evolving in space and / or products to exhibit, and can be packaged in a small volume at a lower cost.

  Thus, the present invention relates, in the first place, to a said modular unit comprising: - at least one building part forming a body of which are integral as many holding means as necessary for the presentation or storage of at least one object; and complementary vertical assembly means constituted by at least one male element and by at least one female element able to cooperate coaxially or coplanar with, respectively, a female element and a male element of other said modular units to allow their assembly, to build said devices comprising said integral bodies which are offset vertically on either side of at least one vertical plane.

  According to the invention, a modular unit is said to hold if it is constituted by a said piece of construction, one-piece holding, forming a holding body comprising one or more means for holding objects. Such a holding body has, for example, the form of a shelf or a tray, for placing at least one object standing or resting on a horizontal plane or inclined rearward, or is designed in a suitable form the keeping in space of objects such as glasses or watches, or constitutes a housing comprising one or more compartments for flat objects and / or superimposed in horizontal support or inclined backwards, or standing, such as discs and cassettes for audio and video, books, or for bundles, standing or tilting forwards, such as postcards, road maps, magazines or newspapers.

  A housing according to a variant of the invention, is a holding body consisting of two said holding pieces each having holding means similar to the other able to maintain at least one object between two of these parts arranged at the same height and / or assembled to one another by one or more assembly means, namely complementary elements or one or more connecting pieces. The length of these so-called assembly parts will determine the length of the housing and will therefore be chosen according to the products to be presented or stored. In a complementary or alternative manner, a plurality of orifices and pins, for example, form complementary fastening means on the holding and assembling parts to allow adjustment of the spacing between two adjacent holding pieces according to the length of the product.

  A modular unit is said support, according to a variant of the invention, if it comprises a said piece of construction, support, forming a support body comprising at least a portion of peripheral fastening reversibly solidarisant at least one said holding body as aforesaid or suspension accessories such as pins or hooks for the suspension of objects or objects packaged for example in blister, cardboard or hanger.

  Such a support body may comprise one or more peripheral portions distributed around its periphery, such as back-to-back, headfold, the latter comprising a fixing means such as a vertical rim, a slide, a slot, or an orifice, of complementary shape respectively, for example, a groove, a slide, a fin or a lug, forming the fixing means of said holding body or said suspension accessories.

  According to the invention, a so-called holding unit or said support unit comprises at least one tubular core with vertical axis of symmetry, preferably external to its said body, or at least one tubular section formed in an axial direction, intended for the insertion of a cohesion and rigidity mast and / or rotation in the column formed by the tubular portions of several vertically assembled units.

  According to one variant, a so-called holding unit or so-called support unit also comprises at least one said support component, constituting a support body comprising at least one lateral fastening means secured to a complementary fastening means. a so-called maintenance piece or said support, and also comprising a tubular core axis of symmetry.

  In a preferred manner, a said support piece has an axis of symmetry and comprises a plurality of said fastening means regularly distributed around said axis so as to form a modular unit with multiple so-called holding or so-called support bodies, which can include so many so-called holding pieces or said support as said fixing means to advantageously constitute a stage of a rotary device.

  According to another variant, a modular unit with multiple bodies is said to be scalable if each so-called holding part or said support part comprises at least two similar fastening means, at least one of the two being secured to one of said fastening means complementary to a said support piece vertical axis of symmetry, and the other being assembled or adapted to be assembled with another said support piece to allow to build stages of fixed devices evolving in several horizontal directions.

  Thus: according to a first device construction method, a modular unit comprises said vertical assembly means distributed to allow its assembly in the same alignment as other units immediately adjacent top and bottom; according to a second method of construction of these devices, a modular unit comprises said vertical assembly means distributed to allow its staggered assembly between four other units offset vertically and horizontally with respect thereto; according to a third mode of construction or according to a feature of the second mode of construction, a modular unit comprises said vertical assembly means distributed to allow its assembly head-to-tail with another unit above and another unit from below; - According to a fourth method of construction, a rotary modular unit comprises said vertical assembly means distributed to allow its helical assembly with another upper unit and another lower unit around a mast inserted into their said tubular cores.

  It will be noted that rotating devices constructed of modular units with multiple bodies may include only the support parts necessary for their rotation around a mast.

  It goes without saying that certain devices such as rotary lathes may be designed to rest on a turntable in an alternative manner to said rotation mast.

  Advantageously, said vertical assembly elements are of complementary sections, for example circular, in order to articulate the modular units to each other at different angles, these being able to be designed in an alternative or complementary manner with said vertical assembly elements distributed to allow their assembly according to several previous modes of construction.

  In this way one can build different devices from standard elementary parts.

  In a preferred embodiment, said modular units with multiple bodies and / or rotating or evolutive comprise said support pieces and / or / said support pieces having a reduced vertical space such as the vertical pitch between their complementary vertical assembly elements is between 1 and 15 cm and preferably between 2 and 5 cm.

  The modular units according to the invention make it possible to produce evolutionary storage or presentation devices consisting of an arrangement of said modular units assembled by said so-called vertical assembly means.

  According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the evolutionary device comprises intermediate parts between said vertically consecutive modular units, these parts being nested between said units at their so-called vertical assembly elements, which makes it possible, for example, to to form higher housings, to secure by rigidifying the lateral ends of linear structures in staggered rows, to serve as a spacer between so-called compact support units.

  In the first embodiment shown in FIGS. 1A to 1C, the unitary modular unit 1A according to the invention consists of a holding part 2 forming a holding body 10, in this case a housing for a DVD film in a housing, comprising means for holding objects namely the four edges 42a, 42b, 42c, 42d of a flat and rectangular frame 42, able to support a said casing entrecinq pads 52 disposed on their upper faces.

  Said modular unit 1A also comprises a rotatable portion 60r forming a circular tubular section 8 'at a rear end of the edge 42c, this circular section being delimited by two other pads 52 each aligned with one of said rear pads 52 and with the axis vertical ZZ 'circle on: Which is formed said circular section 8'.   The display rack R1 of FIG. 1C thus constructed has a compact staggered structure formed of said successive layers of two units 1A offset from each other by a quarter of a turn with respect to the axis ZZ ', presenting holding body 10 offset vertically on either side of the vertical assembly planes P; according to the invention. The rack RI is rotated by inserting a mast fixed to a base in the tubular column formed by the circular sections 8 'of the portions 60r assembled by their pads 51, 52.

  In an alternative embodiment not shown, it is also possible to provide intermediate parts, for example cylindrical rods having at one end a male vertical assembly element 51 and at its other end a complementary female element 52, these intermediate parts allowing to increase the distance between two consecutive units and, thus, to provide housing for the storage of objects stacked or standing, such as books or DVDs in their housings.

  It is also possible to construct a device similar to the storage RI by helical assembly of holding units similar to the units 1A comprising a frame 42 as well as a rotary support portion with a tubular core with a vertical axis of symmetry.   Arrangements similar to the storage R2 of FIG. 2D can be constructed only of parts similar to the holding pieces 2, so as to form said housing similar to the housings 10 between two of these laterally assembled parts by their complementary lateral assembly means.

  For this purpose, said inclined supporting walls 42 will be of a width substantially equal to that of the object to be exposed, increased by the said size of a finger, and will comprise at their lateral ends said complementary lateral assembly means allowing them to be solidariser up to form a device stage on which other stages will be assembled by interlocking their so-called vertical assembly means.

  According to a preferred embodiment, these longitudinal symmetry plane holding pieces will have the general shape of an I having a series of longitudinal horizontal flanges regularly distributed on either side of its vertical wall in a pitch pitch substantially greater than 1 thickness of the object to be exposed, each of these flanges having a guiding excess thickness formed longitudinally near its lateral end to create a gap sufficient to grip the housings.

  In a fourth embodiment of the invention, FIG. 4A shows a holding piece 2 adapted to be secured to a rotating support piece 6r to form a modular multi-body rotary holding unit ID which may comprise four of these elements. holding pieces 2, as seen in Figure 4C.

  This holding part 2 forms a holding body 10 constituting a housing comprising two symmetrical compartments for receiving flat objects in a package back to back, such as magazines inclined forward.   Said rotary connecting piece 6r also comprises four corner reinforcements 64, each delimiting an upper orifice 52 between two walls 61, the latter being formed in the extension of a nipple 51 of complementary shape located below the lower edge of the walls 61.

  In this way, to build the display P4 as shown in Figure 4C, it is sufficient to stack rotating parts 6r to assemble in a reversible manner by their vertical assembly elements 51,52, then to laterally fasten on each of these four holding pieces 2 by their peripheral fastening elements 71, 72 so as to constitute the superimposed rotary holding units ID of the display unit P4 of FIG. 4C.

  This display can also be constructed by stacking modular rotating holding units 1D, each consisting of four holding pieces 2 secured to a rotating support piece 6r by their said elements 71, 72.

  The holding bodies 10 of these modular units 1D are thus, according to the invention, offset vertically on either side of vertical planes P intersecting along the axis of rotation ZZ '.

  Advantageously, as shown in FIG. 4A, said wall 41 of a holding part 2 comprises an advance of material delimiting a central slot 52 'flush with its upper edge, adapted to cooperate by interlocking with a tab, not shown, formed in its extension under the lower edge of the wall 41.

  These so-called slots 52 'and tongues serve to assemble the parts 2 and to stiffen the display P4 in addition to the elements 51 and 52 of the parts 6r.

  The cylinder formed by the tubular-core sections 8 of the stacked parts 6r makes it possible to insert a mast 9 fixed to a base and thus to allow the display P4 to rotate around this mast and on a locking piece thereon, not shown.

  The magazine bundles can then be installed in the housings designed to overlap in an appropriate manner.

  A rotary display similar to P4, but with a helical structure, can be constructed by securing a holding piece 2 on a rotational supporting part a quarter of the height of a rotating part 6r, so as to form a rotary modular unit that one will stack on another similar, so that the parts 2 are offset relative to each other of the same quarter turn, and so on until the desired height of the display.
