  The invention relates to a packing and transport carton, for packaging, or storage and transport of stored items. By transport case means a package sufficiently rigid and resistant, overall, to withstand normal shocks and deformations that may occur during transport, without resulting in deterioration of the items contained in said box.

  In this field of the art, the characteristics of the carton of such a package (grammages and performance of the papers, characteristics of the profiles of the grooves, etc.) are determined according to the conditions of use of the packaging, the dimensions of the crate and weight of items to be transported, in particular.

  It is common to size the boxes so that they are able to receive a predetermined number of such items, wedged together and backed to the inner walls of the box. In such packaging, the articles occupy predetermined and stable positions. This is particularly the case when said articles are glass or plastic bottles, metal aerosol containers, etc.

  The rules of the art make it possible to determine the characteristics of the carton used, in particular to obtain a suitable vertical compressive strength and compatible with the severe treatments encountered during a transport and successive storage.

  Taking into account the need for vertical compressive strength of the packaging during transport and storage and, in view of the severe treatment of these cases, is the main cause of oversizing the characteristics of the constituents of the packaging , all things equal otherwise.   The invention makes it possible to optimize the performance / quality price ratio of such a packaging intended for the transport of stored items. The basic idea of the invention is to ensure that a portion of the vertical compressive strength is supported by the articles themselves, without affecting the integrity thereof.

  As regards the body itself, it is noted that its general shape is that of a simple rectangular parallelepiped comprising four side walls 14, 15, 16, 17, a bottom wall 18 constituted by four bottom flaps 19 hinged to said side walls and other flaps 20, 21, here four in number, hinged to the edges of the rectangular opening 2: 3, which is opposite and parallel to said bottom wall 19.   The box is sized and shaped to receive a predetermined number of items 13, four bottles according to the example.   Advantageously, said reinforcing flaps 20 are provided with cutouts 27 in a predetermined configuration that depends on the shape and dimensions of the articles on which they must be supported.

  It should be noted that the establishment of the reinforcement flaps 20 is almost automatic for both manual and mechanical casings since it is sufficient to fold the two reinforcing flaps 20 above the opening 23 before introducing the articles 13. together. The placement of said articles pushes the reinforcement flaps towards the inside of the box and these are positioned against the parts on which they must be supported by the simple play of the natural elasticity of the hinge formed by folding the carton along the opening 23.

  All these operations are easily mechanized and require little modification of the existing mechanized packaging lines.
