Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une composition d'un polymère du styrène expansible sous forme de perles. Il comprend une polymérisation du styrène en suspension aqueuse, réalisée en présence (a) du peroxyde de dibenzoyle, (b) du peroxyde de dicumyle, (c) du dimère de l'alpha-méthylstyrène, (d) d'une cire de Fischer-Tropsch, (e) d'au moins un agent de suspension et (f) d'au moins un agent porogène. La composition ainsi obtenue permet d'améliorer substantiellement les propriétés d'isolation thermique des matériaux expansés résultant de ladite composition.
