Cette invention concerne la technique connue du frettage thermique qui permet d'obtenir des assemblages outils coupants / porte-outils avec des concentricités très précises. Un inconvénient à cette technique peut-être le fait qu'un porte-outil donné ne peut être utilisé que pour un seul diamètre de queue d'outil. En conséquence, chaque outil de diamètre de queue différent oblige à utiliser un porte-outil différent.
