Abstract

The present invention relates to a decorative fireplace intended for indoor use. The fireplace is characterized in that the structure of the fireplace consists of at least three independent modules: - a combustion module (2) equipped with said fireplace, - a decor module (3), capable of enveloping at least the combustion module (2) so as to ensure the aesthetic finish of the fireplace, - an intermediate module (4) interfacing between said decor module and said combustion module.

Description

The present invention relates to a decorative fireplace intended to be

used indoors.

  More specifically, the invention relates to a fireplace of the type comprising a fireplace and a decorative outer casing.

  Traditional fireplaces are known, in which the fireplace is then made in a section of a wall and requires heavy masonry work that is long and expensive. The materials used for its construction and in a nearby environment are usually stone or brick, to withstand high temperatures. Any other flammable material or structurally resistant to temperature is excluded.

  In addition, we know the stoves running on coal, this heating system does not require special work, with the exception of the presence of a flue gas connection duct. They are usually arranged in a corner of the room, at a respectable distance from the walls or walls and transmit the heat directly to the surrounding air. However, such heating systems are unsightly and represent a real danger of burning especially for children, the metal walls of the heated stove being directly accessible. The material used for its construction is generally metallic or mineral and any other material with a low temperature resistance is excluded.

  The object of the present invention is to provide a modular heating system of the type comprising at least one focus and a decorative envelope, which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks.

  One of the aims of the present invention is to propose a heating system whose structure makes it possible to overcome various technical constraints, particularly due to temperature, and aesthetics, by separating these two aspects.

  Another object of the invention is to provide a heating system that can use any known type of fireplace and in particular gas, oil, coal, and wood.

  Another object of the invention is to provide a heating system that can adapt to an architectural environment and in particular can lean against a wall and a wall angle, and whatever the fireplace used.

  Other goals and advantages will become apparent from the description which follows, which is given for information only and which is not intended to limit it.

  The present invention relates to a fireplace having at least one fireplace and a decorative outer casing, characterized in that the structure of the chimney is constituted by at least three independent modules: - a combustion module, equipped with said hearth, - a decor module, capable of wrapping at least the combustion module so as to ensure the aesthetic finish of the chimney, - an intermediate module interfacing between said decor module and said combustion module.

  The description which follows, as well as the drawings in the appendix will better apprehend the invention.

  The present invention relates to a fireplace and has at least one fireplace and a decorative envelope.

  The chimney 1 according to the invention has a structure consisting of at least three independent modules: - a combustion module 2, equipped with said hearth, - a decor module 3, able to envelop at least the combustion module so as to ensure the aesthetic finish of the chimney, - an intermediate module 4 interfacing between said decor module 3 and said combustion module 2.

  Also, the chimney according to the invention has, first of all, a combustion module 2, equipped with a focus 5.

  According to an embodiment according to the invention, said combustion module 2 comprises a complete and autonomous hearth 5. Thus, said combustion module can operate and heat a room alone without the presence of other modules.

  The fireplace 5 may in particular operate on gas, oil, coal or wood, and has all the known characteristics to its proper operation. It has in particular an opening 7 for the evacuation of smoke and gases from combustion in an exhaust pipe 18. It may have an external air inlet 20 for supplying combustion to the combustion chamber 5 with oxygen.

  According to one embodiment of the invention, the combustion module 2 has carrying means, which allow the fireplace 5 to be positioned at a desired height. These carrier means further limit the heat exchange surface in order to isolate the soil from the high temperatures of the combustion module.

  Thus, as illustrated in FIG. 1, according to one embodiment, the invention has legs 6 of small section for limiting the exchange surface, isolating the soil of the combustion module leaving a layer of air, the air with high thermal resistance.

  According to one embodiment, the carrying means, in particular the legs 6, may be made of a material insulating the temperature.

  According to one embodiment of the chimney according to the invention, the combustion module 2 has a control system and control of the combustion. This control system may, in particular, for households using oil or gas act on the flow of arrival of said gas or liquid.

  According to one embodiment of the chimney according to the invention, the combustion module has access 8 to the fireplace 5.   According to one embodiment of the chimney according to the invention, the intermediate module 4 has means 9, 21, 22 to adapt to different combustion modules 2. It can in particular be adapted to combustion modules using fuel oil, wood, coal and gas.

  Said means may take the form of any type of fastening or mechanical connection 9, be advantageously insulating from the temperature and include arrangements allowing natural ventilation to maintain the decor in ambient temperatures allowed.

  As illustrated in FIG. 1, the intermediate module 4 has a mechanical attachment or connection 9, a bottom 19 having openings 21, allowing the legs 6 or carrying means to pass through, and an opening 22 through which the exhaust pipe 18 passes. gases and other fumes.

  The bottom 19 of the intermediate module allows to leave an insulating air space between the ground and said intermediate module.

  According to one embodiment of the chimney, the intermediate module 4 has means for being adapted according to the positioning of said chimney in an architectural environment and means for leaning against a wall 11 or a wall angle 12.

  As illustrated in FIG. 2, the intermediate module 4 has a straight section 23 to be leaned against a wall. The wall 23 is held at a distance from the wall 11 by means of spacer elements 10. These elements 10 advantageously make it possible to provide a flow of cooling air between the wall and the wall 23 of the intermediate module.

  The intermediate module 4 has a conformal section adapted to fit a wall angle 12. Thus, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, it has cut-off sides 24, the cut edges are particularly perpendicular to lean against, such as as shown in Figure 3 at a corner of the wall. The outer wall of the intermediate module may likewise have spacer elements 10 having the same function as previously described.

  Thus, the intermediate module 4 can be leaned against a wall, a wall angle, or any other architectural constraint.

  According to another embodiment, the chimney may also be in the center of a room and the intermediate module may have any section and in particular circular.

  Furthermore, according to the invention, the chimney has means for isolating in temperature: - the decor module 3, - the walls 11, 12; 24 making contact with said intermediate module 4, - the user, temperatures of the combustion module 2.

  According to one embodiment of the chimney, the intermediate module 4 has means for creating an air flow 13 for ventilating the inner chamber, which cools the firebox 2 and heats the room, said air flow 13 surrounding, partially or entirely, said combustion module 2. Said air stream 13 thus isolates the high temperatures of the combustion chamber the outer walls of the intermediate module.

  The means for creating an insulating air flow may take the form of a thermal chamber of which at least one wall 4 surrounds, partially or completely, said combustion module 2. Said at least one wall, in the case of a module combustion chamber with access to the fireplace or control means, has a conformal aperture 14 mechanically joined to a contour of said access of the fireplace or a contour of said control means.

  Thus, the access to the fireplace, in particular the glass door 8 and / or the control means, remains accessible from outside the intermediate module.

  According to one embodiment, said heat chamber constitutes a heat exchanger having, as illustrated in FIG. 1, at least one air inlet schematized at 15, in fact distributed over the module, and at least one air outlet 16 heated. The air to be heated entering at 15 is heated by the heat source coming from the combustion module 2, and evacuating through the outlet 16, makes it possible to heat the room.

  The flow of air into and out of the exchanger can be advantageously forced, in particular by a ventilation system.

  According to one embodiment, said exchanger constitutes a convection chamber having at least one air inlet to be heated low, as well as at least one opening 16 on all or an upper portion of said thermal chamber constituting said heated air outlet. such that the flow of air entering and exiting 16 of the thermal chamber is provided by natural convection.

  Thus, the air contained in said chamber is heated by the walls of said combustion module 2, rises naturally, and escapes at 16. The depression thus created in the convection chamber ensures the suction at the air inlet 15. heat outside and maintain the air flow through the exchanger. Then, the flow in the exchanger is assured without external energy input.

  According to the invention, the intermediate module 4 has means 9 for supporting the decor module. The means 9 for supporting said decor module may be made of any type of known fixation and be advantageously insulating from the temperature, and provided with arrangements for natural ventilation to maintain the cold decor.

  They may especially take the form of a spacer 17 for isolating said decor module of said intermediate module.

  In addition, the chimney according to the invention has a decor module 3, capable of wrapping at least the combustion module so as to ensure the aesthetic finish of the fireplace.

  According to one embodiment, the material of said decor module may have a low mechanical resistance to forces, the latter having a decorative role.

  Similarly, the decor module may be made of material having a lower structural temperature resistance. Thus, plastic materials or wood can be used.

  According to one embodiment, glued laminated wood 25 is used directly or indirectly in application on said intermediate module 4.

  The properties and manufacturing method of glued laminated timber offer possibilities of interesting shapes, particularly on non-planar surfaces as illustrated in FIG. 2 or 3. Depending on the method of manufacture, glued laminated wood may advantageously have increased strength. to hot deformations thanks to the possibilities of crossing the different layers or lamellae.

  Thus, the chimney according to the invention is adaptable to the architectural environment, and safely isolates the external environment, including the user and the high temperature walls of said combustion module. This device makes it possible to heat a room efficiently and can be dressed with a modular decoration according to the user's choice.

  Each of the three modules is independent and compatible with the other two.

  This module design promotes delivery in kit form, in three packages for each of the modules, allowing to mix a large number of decor and a large number of homes, including wood, oil, gas and coal, simplifying: - inventory management: the traditional stock of finished products is advantageously replaced by a stock of modules whose final assembly is done by the user, - packaging, transport and handling: the 5 dimensions and the weight of each modules are smaller than for a traditional full-service device.

  This two advantages are decisive for the industrial manager, for the participants in the logistics sector and for the end user.

  Naturally, other modes of implementation, within the reach of those skilled in the art, could have been envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention.

Claims (15)

Chimney (1), having at least one fireplace and a decorative outer casing, characterized in that the structure of the chimney is constituted by at least three independent modules: - a combustion module (2) equipped with said fireplace a decor module (3), capable of wrapping at least the combustion module (2) so as to ensure the aesthetic finish of the chimney, - an intermediate module (4) interfacing between said decor module and said combustion module.   2.
