Abstract
The method involves detecting presence of an occupant in a vehicle by an image recognizing sensor e.g. CCD camera. Nature of clothing of the occupant is determined by the sensor. An air conditioner is controlled according to the nature of clothing of the occupant. A predetermined setting temperature is maintained at a level of a temperature of comfort appropriate for the clothing of the occupant. An independent claim is also included for an air-conditioner for motor vehicle.
