Security fence
The present invention relates to a safety barrier device, intended to prevent the passage of unauthorized vehicles and capable of opening to allow passage of authorized vehicles or emergency response vehicles.
Most of the current mobile barrier devices, which are intended to prevent the passage of vehicles, are easily and often degraded due to acts of vandalism or accidental acts, especially when they are located near a public road. .
The object of the present invention is to present a barrier capable of ensuring openings of different widths and offering much greater resistance to existing systems, in particular to acts of vandalism.
This objective is achieved by the movable barrier preventing the passage of unauthorized vehicles in the closed position and allowing the passage of authorized vehicles in the open position, consisting of one or two identical half-barriers in pivot connection with a support fixed to the ground, the pivot connection being provided with a locking means, and characterized in that the half-barriers comprise a cylindrical tube, one end of which is in pivot connection with the support and the other end forms a half-loop with an axis of horizontal symmetry to constitute a half torus extended towards the first end by a portion of vertical cylindrical tube of length such that its non-prolonged end of the half torus is located at a sufficient distance from the ground to allow rotation from the closed position to the open position after removal of the means blocking.
According to another particularity, the device is characterized in that each half-barrier support consists of a plate fixed by sealing in the ground on which is attached a vertical cylinder of circular section intended to cooperate with an open cylindrical housing of circular section present in the cylindrical tube portion of the half-barrier and coaxial with it, the diameter of said housing being adapted so as to allow the rotation of the half-barrier.
According to another particularity, the device is characterized in that the support tube is provided with a stop collar on which the lower surface of the tube of the half-barrier is supported, a means facilitating sliding being inserted between the two pieces.
According to another particular feature, the device is characterized in that the half-barriers can be actuated manually and include a means of locking in rotation in two positions.
According to another particularity, the device is characterized in that the blocking means comprises the following elements: - the cylindrical portion of the support of a half-barrier provided with a circular cylindrical housing with an axis perpendicular to the axis of the cylindrical portion, - the tubular cylindrical portion of the half-barrier pierced by four identical holes of axes coinciding and perpendicular two by two and coplanar with the axis of the housing, - a rod which can be introduced so as to pass through the assembly formed when the housing and one of the pairs of holes are aligned, materializing the open or closed positions of the half-barrier, the rear end of the rod being linked to the half-barrier by a flexible link of sufficient length to allow insertion of the rod and provided with a shoulder of dimensions such as to limit the introduction of the rod, the front end of the rod being provided with a hole emerging from a perpendicular axis icular to the rod, the length of the rod and the distance between the shoulder and the bore being such that said bore is entirely outside the half-barrier when the rod is in the locked position, According to another feature , the device is characterized in that the half-barriers include a means of imposing the direction of opening. According to another feature, the device is characterized in that the means of imposing the direction of opening of the half-barriers is produced by means of surfaces attached one to the support tube, the other to the tube of the half-barrier and positioned in relation to each other so that they are supported one on the other when the half-barrier is closed and they prevent the opening of the half-barrier in the wrong direction of rotation.
According to another particularity, the device is characterized in that the half-barriers comprise a motorization system which can be disengaged, and having a brake function to prevent any manual opening.
According to another particularity, the device is characterized in that the motorization system comprises a motor fixed to the tube of the half-barrier, of vertical axis, and whose output pinion meshes on a crown with external teeth present around the tube of the support.
According to another particular feature, the device is characterized in that the opening and closing of the half-barriers are remotely controllable.
According to another particularity, the device is characterized in that it consists of a single half-barrier. According to another particularity, the device is characterized in that it comprises two elements, said elements being arranged facing one on the other, and positioned so that the opening is of a width greater than or equal to 4 meters The invention, with its characteristics and advantages, will emerge more clearly on reading the description made with reference to the drawings attached in which: - Figure 1 shows the lower part of a non-motorized half-barrier, Figure 2 shows the lower part of a half-barrier provided with a motorization system. Figure 3 shows the device seen from the front, in the closed position, when the movable barrier consists of two half-barriers placed across a passage. Figure 4 shows the device seen from the front, in an alternative embodiment with a single half-barrier placed across a passage.
The invention will now be described according to FIGS. 1 and 2. In the two alternative embodiments, the half-barriers (7) are obtained by shaping a metal tube (1) of circular section. Each half-barrier (7) is therefore made in one piece. The section of the tube (1) is chosen according to the desired resistance. The exterior surface can be painted or left rough. The support (2) of a half barrier consists of a metal plate (22) of square shape sealed in the ground by a sealing means (6). For better resistance to tearing, rods (23) at the tail of a carp are fixed on the underside of the plate (22). On the upper face of the plate (22) is fixed a vertical tube (20) ensuring the pivot connection with the half-barrier (7) .This is provided with a collar (21) which serves as a stop for the tube ( 1) of the half-barrier, the housing (11) of which is fitted on the tube (20). The flange (21) of the support tube (20) is flush with the ground surface. The dimensions of the housing (11) and of the tube (20) are provided to leave the clearance necessary to allow the rotation of the half-barrier (7). A self-lubricating bearing (3) is interposed between the flange (21) of the tube (20) of the support (2) and the face of the lower end of the tube (1) of the half-barrier (7) to facilitate the movement of rotation of the half-barrier (7), while not requiring any maintenance operation.
The invention will now be described according to FIG. 1. In the variant described by this figure, the half-barriers (7) are actuated manually. Locking blocking means are provided in two positions, corresponding to the open position and the closed position of the barrier. To make this locking means, a cylindrical housing (8) passes diametrically through the tube (20) of the support (2) and four holes (9) emerging, with axes coplanar with the axis of the housing (8), are drilled at the periphery of the tube (1) of the half-barrier (7), equidistantly. The diameter of the holes (9) is slightly greater than that of the housing (8). Thus, the housing (8) becomes coaxial with one of the pairs of holes (9) when the half-barrier is in the open position, and with the other pair of holes (9) in the closed position. 4) blocking which ensures the rotation of the half-barrier (7). This rod (4) is cylindrical and slightly smaller in diameter than the diameter of the housing (8). The rear end of the rod (4) is provided with a shoulder (41) with a diameter making it possible to limit the introduction of the rod. The front end of the locking rod has a hole (42) diametrically passing through the rod (4), which makes it possible to install an anti-theft system, such as for example a padlock and thus prevent any unauthorized person from manipulating the barrier. For barriers located on tracks used as passage for emergency response vehicles such as those of the fire brigade, it can be envisaged that the anti-theft system has a lock compatible with a specific key owned only by authorized persons. If a padlock is used, it can be easily removed using a bolt cutter. A chain (43) is attached to the rear end of the rod (4) and connected to the tube (1), so as to make the locking rod (4) captive of the device. The chain (43) is of sufficient length so as not to hinder the manipulation of the rod (4). The device also comprises a means (10, 11) of preventing the opening of the barrier towards the outside of the passage. When the half-barrier (7) is in the closed position, this means (10, 25) leaves only 'only one direction of rotation possible. It is produced by means of a body (10) fixed to the tube 1 and a body (25) fixed to the tube (2). These two bodies have a flat facing surface and come to bear on one another when the half-barrier is in the closed position, moving away from one another during opening.
The invention will now be described more particularly according to FIG. 2. The alternative embodiment presented in this figure proposes a barrier provided with a motorization system. The motor (5) is fixed on the tube (1) of the half-barrier (7), of vertical axis, and its output pinion (51) meshes on a crown (24) with external teeth fixed on the tube of the support (2). The ring gear (24) is in axial abutment on the flange (21) of the tube (1) of the support. The flange (21) is here raised relative to the variant of FIG. 1. The toothed ring (24) serves as a support for the self-lubricating bearing (3) which facilitates the rotation of the half-barrier (7). The low speed required for the half-barrier as well as the relatively large reduction make it possible to choose a low power motorization. A cover can be installed to protect the gears (24, 51) and the motor (5) from possible external aggressions. It could be envisaged that the system thus motorized is controlled remotely, for example by means of a single remote control (presence of a person keeping access) or of multiple remote controls, each person or authorized vehicle having one. Figure 3 shows the device in an alternative embodiment where the movable barrier consists of two half-barriers (7). In this variant, the spacing of the half-barriers (7) conditions the opening width and the size of the barrier. We can thus easily adapt the barrier to passages of variable width. However, in all cases where this passage will be an access to a building (residence, industrial building), which represents the majority of cases, the width A of passage in open position must be at least four meters to allow the passage of emergency vehicles. The width L of the passage in the closed position is also defined, as well as the height H of the free end of the half-barriers (7). These dimensions will for example be fixed at 1 meter for the width L and at 400 millimeters for the height H. Thus the barrier will allow the passage of pedestrians in the closed position. FIG. 4 gives an example of the use of a barrier according to the invention, in a variant comprising a single half-barrier (7). This variant is suitable for passages of narrower width, not necessarily dedicated to the passage of vehicles. on four wheels. This use can for example make it possible to secure a passage reserved for pedestrians to prevent two wheels from entering it (bicycles, motorcycles ...).
It should be obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention allows embodiments in many other specific forms without departing from the scope of the invention as claimed. Therefore, the present embodiments should be considered by way of illustration but may be modified in the field defined by the scope of the appended claims.
