This kind of crisis manifests itself in the following situations: public places, public transportation; containment situation: crowd; or on the contrary in large empty spaces. The subject becomes paralyzed by anxiety: short, panting, rapid breathing, poorly synchronized, some subjects may lose consciousness. People suffering from these syndromes have an urgent need to breathe oxygen-depleted air during such a crisis.

  However, the role of good breathing is to reject carbon dioxide from our body and to absorb oxygen from the air in order to ensure the right balance between these two gases within our body.   The medical profession therefore advises patients to use the closed circuit breathing technique, that is, to breathe their own expiration. The best remedy, in an emergency, is therefore to breathe in a space confined in a bag.
