The invention relates to a quick coupling system by wedging two solid parts such as tubes, bars, profiles. Such a hanging system is applicable in particular to light constructions such as ladders, stepladders, scaffolding, shelving, furniture.
It also relates to the two parts of this attachment system as well as constructions incorporating at least one such attachment system.
Quick coupling systems are already known for two solid parts.
According to document FR2 678 688, a fast coupling system is provided by wedging two solid parts comprising two profiled parts: - a first part comprises a front wall for hooking and a rear wall, parallel, the wall for hanging is provided with a rectangular hooking opening defining a hooking edge corresponding to male hooking means; the interior of the rear face opposite the attachment opening defines the blocking wall. - A second part comprises a slot defining female attachment means located at a distance from a free blocking face.
In order to attach the second part to the first, the second part is first placed opposite the first part with the slot having its opening facing the hooking edge. The hooking wall is made to co-operate with the slot until the blocking wall and the blocking face are tightened. A locking piece such as a corner is then placed in the space of the hanging opening left free from the second piece.
Each opening is made during a specific step of cutting the wall.
In addition, the locking corner makes it possible to prevent the movement of the second part along the longitudinal axis of the first part but does not prevent the transverse movement.
The invention aims to propose a quick attachment system such that the parts used are machined very simply and more quickly.
Another object of the invention is to allow the fastening of the two parts quickly and without large or sophisticated tools or means.
Another object is to propose an effective blocking of the parts with respect to each other transversely and longitudinally.
To this end, the invention firstly relates to a system for attaching two solid profiled parts, applicable in particular to light constructions such as ladders, stepladders, shelving, scaffolding, furniture or the like.
The first part comprises a front face and a rear face arranged opposite one another and substantially parallel to the front face, said front face comprising two lateral parts and a central part forming a hooking wall in which a hooking opening is cut, l 'hooking opening defining with the hooking wall male hooking means and opening onto the interior of the first part.
The second part comprises female hooking means capable of cooperating with the male hooking means, the hooking wall being able to penetrate into the female hooking means.
The second part further comprises a first end part located between the female hooking means and a free blocking face, the longitudinal dimension of the first end part corresponding to the spacing between the rear wall and the hooking wall of the first piece.
The two parts can cooperate with each other for attachment thanks to the male and female attachment means.
The central part protrudes from the lateral parts and is connected to the lateral parts by two connecting walls, the openings in the central part extending over the entire width of the attachment wall and on at least part of the walls link.
The attachment opening may have a height greater than the height of the second part.
According to other characteristics of the attachment system, the system may further comprise a ring for locking the second part on the first part, said ring being provided with two clipping hooks intended to come to engage on the rear of the side parts and along the connecting walls.
The interior of the rear face can form a blocking wall and comprise longitudinal means for transversely wedging the first end part of the second part in the first part.
The female blocking means can be formed of a slot capable of cooperating with the male hooking means, the hooking wall being able to penetrate into the slot.
The slot and the free blocking face can be slightly inclined with respect to each other with an acute angle of wedging.
The invention also relates to the first part of the attachment system comprising a plurality of attachment openings spaced longitudinally from each other.
The invention also relates to the second part of the attachment system. The second part comprises a second end part and second female attachment means symmetrical to the female attachment means with respect to the median plane of the second part and parallel to the rear face of the first part.
The invention also relates to a construction such as a ladder, stepladders, shelving, scaffolding, furniture or the like, comprising at least one attachment system for two solid profiled parts.
The first part of the construction can constitute a supporting upright arranged substantially vertically and the second part can constitute a cross member arranged substantially horizontally with the slot directed downwards.
The invention relates to the method for producing the attachment system. It comprises the following steps: - a first hollow section of the same shape and the same section as the first part is obtained; - The first section is machined so as to create the attachment opening; According to other characteristics, it is possible to machine several openings on the same first part in one pass using a series of machining heads.
The invention also relates to the method for attaching the two parts of the attachment system. The method comprises the steps in which: first the second part is placed opposite the first part with the slot having its opening facing the hooking edge and the free blocking face facing the blocking wall, then causes the fastening wall to co-operate with the slot until the internal blocking face and the free blocking face are tightened and the blocking ring is clipped.
According to other characteristics, at the end of cooperation of the first and the second part, it is possible to give at least one final twitch of jamming on at least one of the two parts.
It is also possible to implement a clip ring and, after cooperation between the first and the second part, the clip ring can be forced into the opening of the first part against the second part.
The invention will be better understood from the description which follows with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a possible embodiment of the first part for a fastening system according to the 'invention. Figure 2 is a schematic perspective view of a possible embodiment of a second part for a fastening system according to the invention. Figure 3 is a schematic view in longitudinal section illustrating the two parts of the attachment system attached to one another with implementation of a locking piece. Figure 4 is a schematic top view of the two parts of the system attached to each other. Figure 5 shows schematically the machining of the first part according to the invention. Figure 6 shows schematically the different stages of the attachment method according to the invention.
The invention relates to a rapid attachment system by wedging two solid parts, namely a first part 1 and a second part 2.
Referring to Figure 1, the first part 1 has a generally hollow profiled shape.
The part 1 comprises a front face 3 and a rear face 4 opposite and parallel to each other. They are connected by lateral faces 5, 6.
In the embodiment shown, the lateral faces 5, 6 are perpendicular to the front 3 and rear 4 faces.
The front face 3 comprises two lateral zones 3a, 3b and a central zone 3c. The central zone 3c occupies substantially in width half of the front face 3.
The central zone 3c projects from the lateral zones 3a, 3b of the front face 3.
The lateral zones 3a, 3b are connected to the central zone 3c by two connecting walls 9a, 9b.
In the embodiment shown, the connecting walls 9a, 9b are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the lateral zones 3a, 3b.
The central zone 3c defines a hooking wall 3c comprising a hooking opening 10.
The attachment opening 10 is rectangular and extends over the entire width of the attachment wall 3c.
The opening 10 also extends in a perpendicular direction over substantially half the width of the connecting walls 9a, 9b.
The opening 10 has a lower free edge 11 forming male attachment means.
The inner side of the rear face 4 defines a blocking wall 7 provided with two guides 12, 13 rectilinear and profiled.
The two guides 12, 13 are each placed in the extension of the connecting walls 9a, 9b, so that the two guides 12, 13 are separated by a distance equal to the width of the attachment opening 10.
With reference to FIG. 2, the second part 2 is of hollow profiled shape. The cross section of part 2 is a rectangle, one of the sides of which is curved.
The part 2 therefore has four faces: a domed upper face 14, a lower face 15 and two lateral faces 16.
The part 2 comprises a slot 17 defining female attachment means capable of cooperating with the male attachment means 11 since the attachment wall 3c can penetrate into the slot 17 For this purpose, the width of the slot 17 is slightly greater than the thickness of the attachment wall 3c.
The slot 17 extends over the entire width of the lower face 15 along a slot part 17a and also extends over substantially half of the width of the side faces 16 along two parts of slots 17b.
The slit parts 17b, 17c have an acute angle of about 5 [deg] with the cross section of the profile of the part 2.
The end of the part 2 closest to the slot 17 is a free blocking face 18. The part of part 2 between the slot 17 and the free blocking face 18 is the first end part.
Referring to Figures 3, 4, the attachment system is applicable to light constructions such as ladder, stepladder, shelving, scaffolding, furniture or the like. In a typical construction including one or more attachment systems, the first part 1 constitutes a supporting upright and, for this purpose, it is arranged substantially vertically. In this case, the second part 2 constitutes a crosspiece disposed substantially horizontally with the slot 17 with which it is provided directed downwards.
In such a construction, the second part 2 can be assembled with two first parts 1 arranged in parallel and facing each other in the manner of the uprights of a ladder. More generally, a construction can comprise several assembly systems with several first parts 1 and / or several second parts 2.
In this case, the second part 2 comprises an additional slot 17 placed on the other side of the part and symmetrically. We do not describe here a second part 2 comprising two slots 17.
With reference to FIGS. 3, 4, the spacing between the hooking 3c and locking walls 7 is substantially equal to the spacing between the slot part 17a extending on the lower face 15 and the free locking face 18 .
When the two parts 1, 2 are hooked, the attachment wall part 3c adjoining the free edge 11 penetrates and is housed in the slot 17, the blocking face 18 comes against the blocking wall 7.
Given the inclination between the slot 17 and the locking face 18, the reciprocal depression of the hooking wall 3c in the slot 17 has the effect of tightening the locking face 18. This tightening provides the hooking and maintaining the two parts 1, 2. The more the two parts are biased in the direction of the depression of the wall 3c in the slot 17, the more the clamping is effective.
In addition, lateral support is provided by the presence of guides 12, 13 which come along the end of the lateral faces 16 of the second part 2.
With reference to FIG. 3, the second part 2 is held downwards by a locking ring 19.
The locking ring 19 has a generally rectangular shape and a thickness of the same order of magnitude as the width of the connecting walls 9a, 9b.
The ring has dimensions such that in position against the opening 10, the ring 19 extends far downwards since it extends lower than the part 2 and also extends to a lesser extent on the lateral parts 3a, 3b .
The ring 19 has in its center an opening intended to be traversed right through by the second part 2.
The upper part of one face of the ring 19 is provided with two clip hooks 20.
Once the hook is clipped, the end of the hook 20 is entirely located inside the part 1 between the front 3 and rear faces 4. The hook bears against the entire width of the interior of the wall. connection 9a, 9b and on a part of the interior of the front face 3.
With reference to FIG. 5, a description will now be given of the method for producing the attachment opening 10 on the first part 1.
To obtain the attachment opening 10 on the attachment wall 3c, the part 1 is machined by passing it under a milling head 21.
The material is thus removed, over a given height, over the entire width of the attachment wall 3c and on part of the connecting walls 9a, 9b.
The part 1 is specially intended to form an upright, for example a ladder, and as such, several regularly spaced hooking openings 10 are necessary.
To do this, the part 1 can be machined in a single step by passing the part 1 under a bench comprising a series of milling heads 21 suitably spaced.
This operation is made very simple and rapid due to the projection formed by the attachment wall 3c.
Concerning the attachment, with reference to FIG. 6, the free locking face 18 of the second part 2 is placed facing the attachment opening 10.
The first end of the second part 2 is made to penetrate into the first part 1 until the slot 17 is in line with the free edge 11. (step 1) A strong and short downward pressure is exerted on the second piece 2 so that the free edge 11 enters the slot 17. At this stage, the free blocking face 18 is in contact with the blocking wall 7 and the guides 12, 13. (step 2) At the step 3, the locking ring 19 is slid over the second part 2 until the opening 10 and then it is clipped by force.
In an embodiment not shown, one may want to hang a plurality of second pieces 2 on a first piece 1. In such a case, the steps of the method described above are carried out for all the pieces 2.
If the production process is automated, each stage can be carried out simultaneously for all the parts 2.
If you want to place two pieces 1 at the two ends of one or more pieces 2, you can perform the steps described above first at one end and then at the other, or do both at the same time.
The attachment methods previously described make it possible to carry out numerous steps automatically and therefore to increase productivity up to five times compared to conventional systems and with a lower cost price.
