Abstract

The book puller consists of a tongue (1) connected by side bands (3A, 3B) of transparent plastic film or moulded plastic and clamps (6) to the front edges (4A, 4B) of the book's cover. The clamps, which have a U-shaped section, are designed to engage with the ends of the side bands and front edges of the cover to hold them together. The clamps are attached to fastenings on the inside of the cover and, in a variant of the design the bands can be extended to go round the cover edges and attach to the inner fastenings without clamps. The tongue can have a recess (5) or cavity for a label.

More particularly, the invention relates to a device fixed on the cover of a book, making it possible to pull this book through the part of its cover opposite the binding of the pages of the book (hereinafter called the

The drawback of this device is linked to the fact that it is not satisfactory to stick a strip directly on a book cover, and that this solution requires in fact that lton first cover the book with a plastic cover for example. Device for tearing out a book comprising a gripping tab (1) intended to be projected from the edge (2) of the cover of the book and two lateral fixing strips (3A, 3B) of said tab, characterized in that the fastening strips (3A, 3B) wind adapted to cooperate each with a front edge (4A, 4B) of said cover located opposite of said tranche.   2. Device according to claim 1, characterized by two gripping means (6) adapted to cooperate each with a front edge (4A, 4B) of cover and with one of the lateral bands (3A, 3B) to be able to fix said bands.   3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that each   pinching means (6) has a cross section in "U".   4.
