Abstract

The reinforcing and lost shuttering system consists of a rigid framework (1) of stiffeners (2) and steel rods (5) that hold the stiffeners at the required spacing and act as supports for expanded metal sheets (7) that form the lost shuttering. The metal sheets are pleated and are held in place by steel rods (6) that slide between the stiffeners and through holes in the pleats. The stiffeners are made from steel rods (3, 4) welded together to form trellis beams.
