Abstract

The hinge for a toilet seat (3) comprises a base (8) which is fastened on to the rear rim (1) of the toilet bowl by a bolt (13) mounted in a tubular sleeve (16) passing through an aperture (14) in the rim and fastened in place by a nut (15). A vertical pin (9) fits over the bolt head and the seat pivot (2) slides over this and is fastened in place by a bolt (11) which fits into a recess in the pin.
