The invention relates to a support structure for automatically releasing a mudguard and, in particular, to a support structure which can be detached from a mudguard by exerting a force, without the use of a tool and at setting the distance to the mudguard to accommodate different types of bicycle.
The classic bicycle fender is generally immobilized in a fixed position. In recent years, mountain biking has become a popular recreational activity. By riding a bicycle on various types of grass and twig ground, the mudguard could easily be caught and struck and deformed. To remedy this problem, some bicycle manufacturers have designed a safety system to automatically release the fender support (see Figures 1 and 2). It mainly comprises a support 10 whose upper end is fixed to a fastener 11 and a lower end is fixed by a screw 121 to an adjustment seat 12. The fastener 12 at the upper end has an upper groove coupling 111 to engage on two sides of a mudguard 22. As shown in FIG. 2, the support 10 has a lower coupling groove 112 for receiving the upper end of the support 10 to form a coupling. The lower coupling groove has an outer wall 13 intended to be coupled with an upper end 14 for insertion of the support 10. The coupling thus formed could be very solid. When it is desired to release the support of the mudguard 22, it is necessary to exert a great force. An automatic release is not possible. In addition, the adjustment seat 12 present at the lower end of the support 10 is fixed by means of the screw 121. A tool (screwdriver) is necessary during practice, which is not convenient.
In view of the above drawbacks, the main object of the present invention is to provide a support structure for automatically releasing a fender which includes a fastening structure to provide a clamping function and to create an automatic release effect under the action. a general loosening force so that the mudguard can be protected and a safer ride on a bicycle. Thus, when the fender is subjected to an external force, it can be released automatically from the support. The invention will be better understood on studying the detailed description of an embodiment taken by way of nonlimiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a support according to the prior art for automatically releasing a mudguard; FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view of a support according to the prior art to automatically release a mudguard; FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the invention; FIG. 4 is an exploded view of the invention; FIG. 5 is a sectional view of the invention after assembly; FIG. 6 is a schematic view of the invention in a configuration for adjusting the length of the support; FIG. 7 is a schematic view of the invention in release configuration; FIG. 8 is a schematic view of the invention in the configuration of installation on a bicycle. Considering FIGS. 3 and 4 illustrating an embodiment of the invention, the latter mainly comprises a fastener 40, a control element 50 and a fixing sleeve 60. The fastener 40 is an elongated element which comprises, at an upper end, an upper transverse coupling groove 41 corresponding to lateral faces of a mudguard 22. The upper throat Coupling 41 externally has a threaded ring 411 for receiving a screw 412 to secure the fastener to the side faces of the mudguard 22 (as shown in Fig. 5). The attachment piece 40 has at one lower end an elastic coupling groove 42 with a transverse opening oriented downwards. The elastic coupling groove 42 has two internal side walls each having an arcuate groove 421 facing the other. A receiving groove 422 extends from above the elastic coupling groove 42. The adjusting member 50 has at one upper end a locking plate 51 which itself comprises an extension plate 511 protruding from its end. higher. The adjusting member 50 has a front surface and a back surface which respectively have a transverse and arcuate edge 512, and a cavity 52 formed therein with a downward opening for receiving an upper end of a support 30 The adjusting member further comprises a threaded outer portion 53 on an outer wall of the cavity 52 and a tapered conical portion 54 with a conical lower end. The end forming the opening of the cavity 52 constitutes a longitudinal slot 55 reaching the middle of the threaded outer portion 53. The attachment sleeve 60 has a cavity 61 with an internal thread and with longitudinal ribs 62 on the outer wall. The cavity 61 has at the bottom a conical cavity 63. With the aid of the structure presented above, the upper end of the support 30 is inserted through the threaded cavity 61 of the fixing sleeve 60, into the cavity. coupling 52 of the adjusting member 50; the threaded cavity 61 mates with the threaded outer portion 53 of the adjusting member 50 to form an expandable structure at the upper end of the support 30. The locking plate 51 at the upper end of the adjusting member 50 is stuck in the elastic coupling groove 42 at the lower end of the attachment piece 40 to form a resilient coupling, and the upper coupling groove 41 is coupled with the two lateral faces of the mudguard 22 to form an attachment structure shown in FIG. 3. With reference to FIG. 5, the arcuate crest 512 on each side of the locking plate 51 is wedged in the arcuate grooves 421 of the elastic coupling groove 42 at the lower end of the fastener 40. The extension plate 511 on the plate lock 51 is stuck in the receiving groove 422 of the elastic coupling groove 42. Referring to FIG. 6, during use to adjust the length of the support, by adjusting the clamping force between the conical portion 54 of the adjusting member 50 by means of the longitudinal slot 55 and the conical cavity 63 of the attachment sleeve 60 via the internally threaded cavity 61 and the threaded outer portion 53, the two side walls of the coupling cavity 52 can clamp the upper end of the support 30.
