Abstract

A paintbrush has its bristles (12), preferably at least 20 mm long, formed by the nap of a knitted or woven textile strip which has its base layer (12a) attached to the flat transverse end (11a) of the brush handle (11). The strip can be attached to the handle permanently by adhesive or temporarily by an elastic ring (13) holding its free edge (12c) in a groove (11c).
