Abstract

The operating mechanism (1) for a sliding door (2) controls the sliding, locking and unlocking of the door. It consists of a single part cut from a rigid metal sheet and comprises a key neck (3) mounted to slide in a groove (4) in the door upright (5). The key neck comprises means for limiting its sliding in the groove and is connected to a handle (6) which is folded so as to cover the edge (7) of the upright and project outwards from it so as to be accessible by the user. The base also has a bolt (8) for the locking and unlocking of the door.

Description

The present invention relates to an operating device for a leaf

  sliding door, window, French window, and the like, this device being intended to control the sliding of said opening and the locking and

unlocking it.

  Sliding opening means a glass panel or leaf, which is mounted

  sliding in lower and upper guide rails.

  Such a sliding opening generally comprises on one of its vertical uprights, a handle to allow the user to control the opening

  and the sliding closure of this leaf.

  The edge of this amount also includes means for controlling the

  locking and unlocking of this leaf relative to the frame.

  According to the prior art, notched locks are also known operating themselves bolts and / or rods comprising members

  locking and / or locking at the end of the rod.

  According to known embodiments, the housing of the mechanism itself makes the operating member of the sliding leaf and a slide in the housing allows the mechanism to be controlled. In other cases, the housing is completed by a gripping member which is only a fixed pull handle or movable handle

  (see for example the patents FR 2 582 71 0; FR 2 631 068 and FR 2 761 721).

  However, there is a need, in particular, in the case of closings comprising a sliding leaf, to simplify the design of the operating member in order to control the opening of the leaf, its locking and its

  unlocking, in order to reduce the cost of manufacturing this member.

  The purpose of the present invention is precisely to achieve this objective of

  simplification and reduction of manufacturing costs.

  According to the invention, this operating device is characterized in that it consists of a single-piece member cut from a rigid metal sheet comprising a base slidably mounted in a groove formed in an upright of said sliding opening, this base comprising means for limiting the sliding thereof in said groove and being connected to a gripping handle folded so as to cover the edge of said upright, and protrude outside of the latter to be accessible to the user, the base being further associated with means for enabling the

  locking and unlocking of said sliding leaf.

  The amount of the opening can be for example a profile or a notched metal

lightweight with a sliding sash.

  The groove in which the base of the operating member is slidably mounted may be the groove produced in the profile or notch in which the rod is normally slidably mounted, the end of which is shaped

  to lock the sash in a fixed strike.

  The fact that the sliding base and the grip handle are made in one piece cut from a metal sheet makes it possible to simplify the

  design of the actuator and reduce its manufacturing cost.

  According to one embodiment of the invention, at least the assembly formed by said base and said handle is made in one piece cut from a

metallic foil.

  According to a preferred version of the invention, the assembly constituted by said base, said handle and said means for allowing the locking and unlocking of said sliding upright is produced in a single cut piece

in a metal sheet.

  The means for allowing the locking and unlocking of the sliding leaf can be constituted by a bolt secured to the base of the member

maneuver.

  According to a preferred version of the invention, said bolt is constituted by a tongue cut out from said base and folded relative to the latter so as to project outwards in a direction substantially perpendicular to said base. In this case, the assembly constituted by the handle, the base and the bolt is made in one piece by folding and cutting a metal sheet, this

  which makes production very simple and inexpensive, particularly suitable for industrial mass production.

  Figures 1 and 2 attached show an operating device 1 for a sliding leaf 2 of door, window, French window and the like. This device 1 is intended to control the sliding of this opening 2, the locking and

unlocking it.

  According to the invention, this device 1 is constituted by a single-piece member cut from a rigid metal sheet. It essentially comprises a base 3 slidably mounted in a groove 4 formed in an upright 5 of the sliding leaf 2. In this example, the

  upright 5 is a light alloy profile.

  The base 3 includes means for limiting the sliding thereof in the groove 4 and is connected to a gripping handle 6 folded so as to cover the edge 7 of the upright 5 and protrude outside of the latter for to be

accessible to the user.

  Furthermore, the base 3 is associated with means for allowing the locking and unlocking of the sliding leaf 2 relative to a part.

  Advantageously, at least the assembly formed by the base 3 and the handle 6 is made in one piece cut from a metal sheet,

  which limits the cost of manufacturing the device.

  In the version illustrated by FIGS. 1 and 2, the assembly constituted by the base 3, the handle 6 and the means for allowing the locking and unlocking of the sliding leaf 2 is made in one piece cut from a metal foil, which further reduces manufacturing and

  mounting of the device according to the invention.

  In this example, the means for enabling the locking and the

  unlocking include a bolt 8 secured to the base 3.

  This bolt 8 is constituted by a tongue cut from the base 3 and folded relative to the latter so as to project outwards in a direction

  substantially perpendicular to the base 3.

  In another embodiment, not shown in the drawings, the locking and unlocking means comprise, instead of the bolt 8 or in addition to this, at least one rod comprising a bolt end, ie various integral locking elements capable of to cooperate with one or more complementary keepers of the frame. This rod can be coupled to the base 3 in the extension thereof and mounted sliding

  in the groove 4 in which the sliding base 3 is already mounted.

  Furthermore, as can also be seen in FIG. 1, the handle 3 comprises a first part folded in the form of a loop to cover the edge 7 of the upright 5, which is extended by a second inclined part 6 which gradually moves away towards the outside of the opening and which has a recess 6a

  to facilitate the gripping of the handle 6 by the user.

  s It can also be seen in FIG. 2 that the base 3 has two slots 9

  elongated in the direction of the length of the base 3.

  These lights 9 cooperate with screws (not shown) engaged in these lights 9 and fixed to the wall 10 (see FIG. 1) of the upright 5, to limit the

  base sliding stroke 3.

  The operating device that has just been described operates as follows:

  It will be assumed that the opening 2 is an open position.

  To close the door 2, the user simply pushes the handle 6 into the

  direction of arrow F to slide the sash 2.

  To lock the sash 2 to the fixed frame, the user just has to act on the handle 6 to slide the base 3 in the groove 4 to lock the

  bolt 8 to the corresponding strike.

Operating device (1) for a sliding opening (2) of door, window, French window and the like, this device (1) being intended to control the sliding of said opening (2), the locking and unlocking of the latter ci, characterized in that it consists of a single-piece member cut from a rigid metal sheet, comprising a base (3) slidably mounted in a groove (4) formed in an upright (5) of said opening sliding (2), this base (3) comprising means for limiting the sliding thereof in said groove (4) and being connected to a grip handle (6) folded so as to cover the edge (7) of said upright (5) and protrude outside the latter to be accessible to the user, the base (3) being further associated with means for allowing the locking and unlocking of said opening sliding (2).   2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that at least the assembly constituted by said base (3) and said handle (6) is produced   in one piece cut from a metal sheet.   3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the assembly constituted by said base (3), said handle (6) and said means for allowing the locking and unlocking of said sliding leaf (2) is   made in one piece cut from a metal sheet.   4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that   said means for enabling locking and unlocking   comprise a bolt (8) integral with said base (3).   5. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that said bolt (8) is constituted by a tongue cut out from said base (3) and folded relative to the latter so as to project outwards in a   direction substantially perpendicular to said base (3). 7-   6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that   the locking and unlocking means comprise at least one rod comprising an end forming a bolt, this rod being coupled to said base (3) in the extension thereof and mounted to slide in said groove (4).   7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that   said handle (6) has a first part (la) folded in the form of a loop to cover one of the edges (7) of the upright (5), which is extended by a second inclined part which progressively deviates towards the exterior of the opening (2) and which has a recess (6a) to facilitate gripping of the handle.
