Abstract

Planar, perforated flow deflector (or baffle) surfaces (D2) each occupy the full cross section of the casing (E2). They are inclined with respect to the principal axis of flow. Each baffle has one peripheral flow-arrestor (R2) at each of its ends.

Description

La forme de ces surfaces découle de 'enveloppe dans laquelle elles s'inscrivent. Par exemple, dans le cas d'une enveloppe à section carrée ou rectangulaire ces surfaces ajourées constituant l'élément de mélange seront elles-mêmes carrées ou rectangulaires. Dans le cas d enveloppe circulaire, les surfaces ajourées seront forme elliptique ou de fraction d'ellipse. Elles peuvent également s'interpénétrer suivant le pas à respecter pour obtenir l'homogénéité nécessaire. En effet, l'expérience a montré la disposition relative des surfaces déflectrices ajourées, la forme des ouvertures et le pourcentage du vide ainsi créé sont des critères importants à respecter pour répondre à l'intérêt des mélangeurs statiques qui réside dans l'obtention d'un mélange efficace, sur une faible longueur de traitement avec une perte de pression compatible avec 'application. Par ailleurs, ce nouveau type de mélangeur étant réalisé à partir de surface plantes découpées, ses coûts de fabrication sont réduits et sa construction extrêmement robuste.
