Abstract

The wall bars, comprising a series of a series of uprights (2) which are fastened to a wall and round or oval-section horizontal rungs or bars (4), has all the uprights made identical and symmetrical, with notches to receive the bars. The bars are also all identical and symmetrical and are fitted to the uprights by means of wedges (7), load-distributing locking members (6) and fastening screws (5). The wedges and bars are shaped to form rebated joints, and the locking members are shaped to fill any gaps between the notches and bars.

Description

The staircase is a kind of ladder found in most gymnasiums, used for performing a multitude of physical exercises.

In known devices of this kind, the vertical uprights receiving the bars are generally of 2 types: 1 for the sides and 1 for the middle. There are also end bars, middle bars, even right and left. Joint covers hold all the bars on the uprights for the right, for the left and for the middle.

To change a broken bar, it is necessary, on most models, to disassemble all the joint covers, so practically all the wall bars and moreover, these wall bars are absolutely not modular.

The object of the invention is to eliminate all these drawbacks.

A single upright, a single bar, a wedge piece and a blocking piece allow simplified standard manufacturing, easy and solid assembly of the device without risk of error. The change of a bar is done by dismantling only the defective bar. The staircase is modular by removing, for example, a bar or by adding 2 bar support pieces (1) allowing the positioning of a bar completely offset.

Thanks to this simple and rich in possibilities design one can imagine curved uprights in the shape of an arch in order to go from climbing ladders to hanging and making squirrel cages for young children.

Figure 1 shows a set of 3-seater staircases allowing three athletes to evolve at the same time.

The staircase can be in one place or in several places.

The parts (3) screwed on the uprights are used to fix the wall to the wall.

This figure also shows the 2 pieces (1) offset bar support, to be added to the chosen position according to the exercises, the size or the age of the athletes.

In this case, Figure 1 shows a single bar (4) offset forward in the high position thanks to the 2 bar support parts offset, for suspension exercises. It goes without saying that we can add as many times as we want and at the chosen position, pieces (1) of the offset bar support.

These offset bar support parts (1) have, on the offset bar side, the same notch as the uprights (2) and attachment side on the upright 2, the same shape as the underside of the locking piece (6), thus a hole for the fixing screw (5).

The uprights 2 are symmetrical and all identical, neither top nor bottom, and include notches corresponding to the shape of the ends of the bars (4), wedge pieces (7) and blocking pieces (6).

Figure 2 is an enlargement, seen from the side, of the part (1) of the offset bar support.

Figure 3 shows an exploded view of all the stacked parts: the screw (5), the blocking part (6), the bar (4), the wedge part (7) and the upright (2).

The screw (5) crosses all of the 3 parts - blocking part (6), bar (4) and wedge part (7) and is screwed into the upright (2). The bars (4) are symmetrical and all identical, having at the 2 ends a shape called in mid-wood joinery allowing perfect interlocking of 2 bars end to end or of a bar with the wedge piece (7) and a hole to accommodate the clamping screw. The bars can be round, oval, ovoid, etc.

Figure 4 shows the blocking part (6) seen from the side. This comprises in its middle the housing of the screw head (5) and on its lower part, the shape of the bar (4) or of the wedge piece (7). On both sides, it fills the spaces between the bar (4) or the wedge piece (7) and the notch of the upright.

The purpose of this part is to distribute the tightening loads thanks to the screw (5) which crosses the whole and to give aesthetics to the whole of the wall bars.

Figures 5, 6 and 7 are top or bottom views, in section, of the uprights (2).

Figure 5 shows a bar (4) and a wedge piece (7) capped by the locking piece (6), tightened by the screw (5) in a notch of a post (2) located on the side of the 'espalier.

FIG. 6 shows two bars (4) end to end, fitted into a notch in a post (2) in the middle of the wall bar and secured by the blocking piece (6) and tightened by the screw (5).

Figure 7 shows 2 wedge pieces (7) positioned head to tail, capped by the locking piece (6) and tightened by the screw (5). This closes the notch of the upright (2) when removing a bar.

1) Device to simplify the manufacture and assembly of a wall bar, a sort of wide, vertical ladder, intended for physical activity, characterized in that the uprights (2) are all identical and symmetrical, have notches, can be curved, have bars (4) all identical and symmetrical, wedge pieces (7) and blocking pieces (6) load distributors. 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the uprights (2) have notches corresponding to the ends of the bars (4) and wedge pieces (7). 3) Device according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that the uprights (2) are identical and symmetrical and have neither top nor bottom. 4) Device according to claims 1, 2 and 3 characterized in that the uprights (2) can be curved. 5) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the ends of the bars (4) are symmetrical and of so-called half-wood shape in carpentry. 6) Device according to claims 1 and 5 characterized in that the bars (4) are identical and symmetrical. 7) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the wedge piece (7) has on one side the semi-wooden shape corresponding to that of the bars (4) and on the other, a shape corresponding to the notch of the uprights (2), completely shutting it off. 8) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the blocking part (6) has on its underside a shape filling the space between the notches of the uprights (2) and the bars (4). 9) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the locking piece (6) receives the clamping screw.
