Abstract

The container (1), which is modular and of variable volume, consists of two or more cylinders (4, 5) set so one can slide inside the other, top (7) and bottom housings and locks (8) for the cylinders, made in the form of separate components which are assembled and e.g. glued together. Description

The invention relates to a packaging, a transport assembly and a

packaging set.

  In the examples, the invention applies to the packaging, transport and storage of objects such as sets of parts allowing the production of a

  light visual display furniture.

  Obviously, the invention allows the packaging of other objects (such as

  documents, plans, posters) or miscellaneous items.

  In the case of removable furniture, it is known to place the sets of

pieces inside a tube.

  Such a tube can be shipped by post.

  For manual unit transport, the tube is placed in a fabric cover or

  analogous, for example provided with a strap, and is then carried like a bag.

  These covers mentioned, which allow transport from packaging to

  like a bag, lack rigidity.

  For grouped transport, several tubes are placed in a rigid case

  or box, usually called "flight case".

  In practice, it is not possible to couple several covers, when this proves necessary, for example for a joint delivery of several objects.

  are unstable when moved on particular casters.

  The invention aims to solve these drawbacks in particular.

  Let us cite other documents relating to packaging.

  The document WO-A-97 01978 describes a device for presenting articles comprising a housing and a stabilizing foot carried by the housing. This box is made up of two articulated parts so as to allow the passage of a

  open presentation position, to a closed position.

  Document WO-A-97 18545 describes a display device of the deployable periscope type. WO-A-92 24008 describes a container comprising an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve sliding relative to each other. A

  WO-A-96 09234 describes a storage tube for plastic shopping bags. A hollow tube is provided with a heavy bottom, and a weighted cap capable of sliding inside a hollow tube is connected to a

cap.

  Document FR-A-2 709 739 describes a packaging container of synthetic material provided with a snap-on lid, for the storage and transport of elongated objects. This container is of parallelepiped shape and has a box part and a lid part provided with projections and a button. Document WO-A-96 25336 describes a container which can be stacked and nestable laterally. This container is of quadrangular outline and has in its lateral phases in alternation, hollows and complementary protrusions which allow the coupling of the containers without having to package them. Document WO-A-96 16874 describes a beverage bottle which attaches to an identical bottle for use by children as building toy cubes. Document WO-A-97 16734 describes a modular cartridge of reagents, where several containers are connected to each other by means of a system

  coupling forming a single piece with the containers.

  The assembly is carried out by means of slide with form connection.

  Known packaging, illustrated in particular by the documents mentioned

  above, also have drawbacks in practice.

  Thus, when it is desirable to assemble several packagings, recourse is had to components forming one-piece containers, obtained by molding

  with integrated hanging means.

  Also, to modify the shape, and for example the length, of a package, it is necessary to modify the entire mold of this container, this

  which is economically unacceptable.

  Much the same applies to variable volume packaging, in which the means for adjusting the two container components are

integrated into these parts.

  In addition, the locking means in a position corresponding to a chosen volume, are generally impractical to handle, and do not provide

  easily a sufficiently effective and precisely adjustable blocking.

  Thus, in the case of locking notches, the adjustment cannot be made while

  continuous, thus excluding any intermediate adjustment to the notches.

  These known packaging also have the disadvantage of being

  relatively impractical to transport like a bag.

  Similarly, variable volume packaging is not in practice easy to move, generally requiring lifting of the

  packaging and its content, unlike wheeled boxes.

  The invention thus aims to allow economical production, with a limited number of standard parts, for example molding, of a packaging including

  the form can be modulated according to the destination content.

  It is also desirable that such packaging offers easy access to its contents, which is not the case for tubes where access is only through an end plug, with a limited access opening . The problem of keeping it in place inside the packaging, of its content and in particular when it consists of several distinct objects, arises

frequently.

  The invention aims to propose technical solutions also on this subject.

  To this end, a first object of the invention is a modular packaging for

variable volume.

  This packaging comprises at least two cylinders, one inside the other outside, of complementary cross section, and mounted one inside the other with elevation sliding, with a lower body forming a base, and an upper body forming a shutter. removable, and means for locking and interlocking the cylinders in a relative sliding position

relative to each other.

  The upper body 7 has a gripping zone 24, here an insert molded onto the handle 19, of material adhering to the grip here of polyurethane.   According to the embodiment of Figure 16, the inner 4 and outer 5 cylinders have mutual linear guide means 29, such as their rotation

  These upper 13 and lower 33 attachment members are here substantially distributed around their arrangement 12 and respective body 6, four upper and lower members being arranged at angular distances substantially

equal on this periphery.

  In FIG. 21, a front attachment member 33 also has normally active means 34 for locking the assembly with a member

of destination 14.

  The means 34 comprise tongues 35 movably mounted on the body 6 forming a base, and more precisely form an integral part of this body 6. At the end of these elastically deformable tongues 35, have come from

  material of the lugs with locking teeth 36, here with a double safety catch.

  Each notch is intended to engage and immobilize in elevation the organ of

destination 14 correspondent.

  In the embodiment of FIG. 21, the body 6 has on the one hand a lower area 37 for presentation support, here at the front, a pair of wheels 38 having their pivot axis 39 (FIG. 20) at a distance d to the right

  of this area 37, which is greater than the radius of the wheels 38.

  In this way, in the so-called vertical presentation position of the package 1, this

  On the other hand, the body 6 has a bevel 40 at the rear. The latter is extended from bottom to top from front to back, of which at least one external part projects

  This assembly has two loops 15 assembled via the attachment members 13 and 33 to the package 1, and moreover connected together by a strap 16, for transporting this package 1 in the manner of a bag. In FIGS. 24 to 31, the assembly 2 is provided with a wedging volume 41 of external shape substantially complementary to the internal part of the cylinder

interior 4.

  In this implementation, the wedging volume is in the form of a shuttle or piston, with an internal housing for objects.
