Abstract

The strimmer head has a cylindrical casing mounted on a rotary drive shaft. The cylinder has four notched pins on its lower surface. A movable cylindrical cap has a conical central bore to receive a retaining screw for the cylinder. The cylinder has four horizontal holes to receive four cutting cords.

- DESCRIPTION -

  The present invention relates to a device for cutting grass and

  brush, it adapts to the rotating brushcutter shaft.

  Currently some grass and brush cutters have a housing

  cylindrical with coil (s) of wire inserted (automatic wire feeder).

  A drawback to this system is that the reel gets stuck for multiple reasons: either when the user has done the renagasinage badly, or by inserts of grass and earth which make a binder and wedge the locking screw and

to unblock the reel.

  Another drawback to this system is the limited number of cutting lines at the outlet, which causes frequent stops for its return to service due to

the rapid wear of these wires.

  In addition, when one of these wires breaks, the advance system is

  offset, and the length of the wires is no longer identical.

  Finally to change wires (for a different diameter) it is the complete system that must be dismantled and change the coil (s), the device and the

  system quickly become binding.

  The device according to the invention allows to overcome these drawbacks, the cylindrical adapter penrnet to receive any wire diameter and to be equipped with four pre-cut wires to a length corresponding to standards

  for the brushcutter casings, ie eight wires at the outlet.

  Avoids time-consuming work stoppages thanks to the increase in the number of sons

in rotation.

  Finally, the commissioning is very fast, because the device according to the invention allows by a single screw with a conical base to tighten the four wires

  simultaneously thanks to a movable gripper vice.

  FIG. 1 represents the main cylindrical part which is fixed on the shaft

of the brushcutter.

  This piece includes a vertical thread at the center of each of its ends. The high thread pennet to fix the part on the rotary axis of the brushcutter and the low thread pennet to receive the clamping screw at

conical base.

  This same part is traversed in the middle of its height by a horizontal pulley hole allowing the user to introduce a tool, (eg a screwdriver) in order on the one hand to block the main part on the rotary shaft of the brushcutter and secondly immobilize the workpiece for tightening after

inserting the wires.

  -2- This part also includes on its lower surface four notched studs, vertical, equidistant from the center and equally spaced between them, the opposite studs two by two of identical length and two, of identical length but different from the first two , so as to tighten the wires

positioned on the moving part.

  FIG.2 shows the movable cylindrical part which receives the four wires.

  This part includes, in its vertical axis, a cylindrical vertical central hole for its upper part and conical at its base, to receive the screw.

  Around this central hole, this part is crossed on a first horizontal level by two parallel holes and on a second horizontal level by

  FIG. 3 represents the tightening screw of the device. The upper part of the screw is the partially threaded body which crosses the moving part, shown in FIG. 2, and is screwed onto the lower part of the main part, shown in FIG. 1 so that the two parts act in a vice, to fix the four wires by means of the four notched studs. The lower part of the screw is the conical head which includes a hexagonal hole, intended to receive the key to tighten the entire device -3 -

  1) Device for cutting grass and brush, characterized in that it comprises a cylindrical piece (1) having a vertical thread at each end of its vertical axis, the top thread is provided to fit on a rotary brushcutter shaft , the low thread   s is designed to receive the screw (3).   2) Device according to claims I characterized in that it comprises   a horizontal central hole located in the middle of the height of the part (1) between the top thread, and, the bottom thread in order on the one hand, to block the part (1) on the brush cutter and on the other hand to allow screwing of the clamping screw (3) after the insertion of the wires in the part (2) 3) Device according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that it comprises on the lower surface of the part (1) 4 notched studs equidistant from the center and, also spaced apart, the studs opposite two by two are of an identical length, and, two of an identical length but different from that of the first two so as to tighten the wires positioned on the part (2).   4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims   characterized, with regard to a moving part (2) opposite the   main room (1) to receive these 4 notched studs.   5) Device according to claim 4 characterized by a vertical central hole in the vertical axis of the part (2) intended to receive the part (3), this hole is cylindrical on its upper part, and conical at its base to allow the reconciliation between the main part (1) and the moving part (2) 6) Device according to claim 4 and, claim 5 characterized in that it comprises on the part (2) four horizontal holes around a vertical central hole: two parallel holes on a first level and two parallel holes on a second level located perpendicular to the holes in the   first level, these four holes are intended to each receive 1 wire.
