AUTOMOTIVE

  The present invention relates generally to a display device and more particularly to a device intended for use in

  vehicles, for example automobiles.

  At the present time, two forms of advertising are known on vehicles: buses and certain specially equipped vans carry large format posters, vehicles of smaller dimensions bear the name and contact details of the company to which they belong. Light vehicles are either fully painted in the colors of the company, either carrying letters pasted or painted, or still carrying

  a magnetic plate on which are carried the information to be displayed.

  The use of vehicles for advertising purposes is not very widespread because of the costs involved: the rental of spaces on buses or vans for the installation of posters is very expensive and can only concern a small number of vehicles, the decoration of company vehicles is also expensive because it requires repainting the vehicle completely or partially for its installation then for each modification, finally, the use of magnetic plates deteriorates the paint of the

  vehicle which limits its use.

  These various reasons mean that advertising on vehicles develops very little despite the significant impact it could have if it was used on a

  large number of vehicles moving along very diverse routes.

  It has been proposed to place advertisements on the sun visors of vehicles, but this is difficult to achieve because it is necessary to use expensive printing processes on the plastics constituting the sun visors and, that the

  message change takes a long time because it is necessary to dismantle the screen

sun to raise a new one.

  The present invention therefore tends to propose a device which is easy to implement, simple and quick to install, so that it can be used on any

  vehicle including "sir everyone" car without damaging it.

  To this end, the invention relates to a display device, particularly intended for use in a vehicle, for example automobile, characterized in that it consists of a pocket, intended to contain at least one poster to be displayed, mounted on a retractable mechanism intended to be fixed along an upright of the surrounding vehicle

a glass surface.

  The device according to the invention is also remarkable in that: - said pouch consists of two sheets of flexible and transparent material, - said winding mechanism comprises a drum with which said pouch can be rolled up to be stored, a rigid rod intended to be inserted axially in the drum is fixed 1 5 on an edge of the pouch, - the edge of the pouch opposite to that carrying the rod carries at least one grip and attachment ring, - a reinforcing rod is positioned along the edge of the pouch carrying the ring so as to reinforce it, - the pouch is open on at least one of its sides perpendicular to said edges carrying the rigid rod and the gripping and hooking ring, - at least one hook is attached to the upright parallel to that carrying the roller mechanism, - the poster support is pierced with holes,

  - the pocket allows the installation of two posters.

  The invention will be better understood thanks to the description which follows given

  by way of nonlimiting example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 is an exploded view of a first alternative embodiment of the device according to the invention, - Figure 2 is an exploded view of a second alternative embodiment of

device according to the invention.

  As visible in the drawing, the device according to the invention consists of a pocket 1, consisting of two flexible sheets 11 and 12 of flexible material and

  transparent such as plastic urine, intended to contain the poster 10 to be displayed.

  This pouch 1 is preferably mounted on a reel mechanism 2 comprising a drum 20 inside which said pouch 1 can be rolled up to be stored. To this end, a rigid rod 21 intended to be inserted axially in the drum 20 is fixed to an edge of the sleeve 1. In a manner known per se, a return spring not shown in the drawing can be placed between said rod 21 and the frame of the drum 20 so as to drive the rod 21 in rotation to ensure automatically

  winding of the pouch 1 in said drum 20.

  The edge of the pouch 1 opposite to that carrying the rod 21 carries a gripping and attachment ring 3. A reinforcing rod 4 can be positioned along the edge

  bearing ring 3 so as to strengthen it.

  The pocket 1 is open on at least one of its sides 13 perpendicular to said edges carrying the rigid rod 21 and the grip and attachment ring 3, the

  sheets 11 and 12 not being connected to each other.

  As indicated in the drawing by the arrow F, the poster 10 is inserted between the

  sheets 11 and 12 along an open side 13 of the pocket 1.

  The retractor mechanism 2 is fixed along an upright of the vehicle surrounding a glazed surface thereof, more particularly a glazed surface other than the windshield. This fixing can be carried out by means of two screws 22 as shown in the drawing or by any other means such as an adhesive strip, a gripping strip, one or more suction cups or by jamming in the gap separating the

glass bodywork.

  A hook 5 is fixed on the upright parallel to that carrying the roller mechanism 2, just like said roller mechanism 2, the hook 5 can be fixed using any means, for example a commine screw 52 shown in the drawing, an adhesive strip, a gripping strip, a suction cup, etc. When the device according to the invention is mounted on the vehicle, it suffices to grasp the gripping and hooking ring 3, to pull in the direction allowing the pouch 1 to be removed from the drum 20 by unrolling it and to position said ring 3 on the

hook 5.

  In this way, the poster 10 placed in the transparent pocket 1 is arranged along the internal face of the vehicle window, it is visible from the outside.

  while being protected from the weather.

  As can be seen in the drawing, the poster support can be pierced with holes 100 so as to leave the vehicle occupants, especially the driver thereof, the possibility of seeing, through the poster 10, what is found outside of

  vehicle due to the phenomenon of light diffraction.

  The implementation of the device according to the invention allows to display very easily and at low cost a printed support in a motor vehicle, the display itself can be of very low cost since it can consist of a single sheet commercially available size paper, for example A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) or A3 (297 mm x 420 mm), the printing of which can be carried out very easily. In the embodiment shown in Figure 2, the device is similar to that shown in Figure 1 but its dimensions are larger by

  so as to allow the installation of two posters 110 and 210 in the pocket 101.

  The different elements of this device have the same references as in the

Figure 1 increased by 100.

  The winding mechanism 102 and the pocket 101 have a width of approximately

  equal to twice the width of the mechanism 2 and of the pocket 1 in FIG. 1.

  In order to improve the behavior of the device, two rings 103 can be provided.

  In the example shown, the posters 110 and 210 are respectively inserted according to the arrows F1 and F2 in each open edge 113 of the pocket 101. It is of course possible to provide a single open edge 113 in the pocket 101 and

  to engage the two posters one after another in the same direction.

Claims (9)

  1.- Display device, particularly intended for use in a vehicle, for example automobile, characterized in that it consists of a pocket (1, 101), intended to contain at least one poster (10; 110 , 210) to be exhibited, mounted on a reel mechanism (2, 102) intended to be fixed along an upright of the vehicle surrounding a glass surface.   2. - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said pocket consists of two sheets (11, 12) of flexible and transparent material 3. - Device according to claim 1 or according to claim 2, characterized in that said mechanism reel (2, 102) has a drum (20) with   inside which said pocket (1, 101) can be rolled up for storage.   4. - Device according to claim 3, characterized in that a rigid rod (21) intended to be inserted axially in the drum (20) is fixed to an edge of the pocket (1, 101).   5. -A device according to claim 4, characterized in that the edge of the pouch (1, 101) opposite to that carrying the rod (21) carries at least one ring of   grip and attachment (3, 103).   6. - Device according to claim 5, characterized in that a reinforcing rod (4) is positioned along the edge of the pocket (1, 101) carrying the reed (3, 103) so as to strengthen it.   7. - Device according to claim 4 and claim 5, characterized in that the pocket (1, 101) is open on at least one of its sides (13, 113) perpendicular to said edges carrying the rigid rod (21) and grip panel and attachment (3, 103).   8.- Device according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that at least one hook (5, 105) is fixed on the upright parallel to   the one carrying the roller mechanism (2, 102).   9. -A device according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the poster support is pierced with holes (100).   10.- Device according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the pocket (101) allows the placement of two posters (110, 210).
