Abstract

An electrical controller (9) provides pulsed cyclic signals to the lights (11) in the form, typically, of three pulses of short off-duration of the orange signal followed by one pulse of green light (or red) of the same overall duration as the three orange pulses. The sequence with the red light actuated is effected for conditions where separation is below a safe distance. Actuation can be by the driver using a switch (12) or automatically using a distance detector (8) incorporated into the device. The display angle ca n be adjusted using side supports (14).
