Abstract

PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A BUILDING ROOF

  OR OF VEHIIICLES AGAINST WEATHER

  The invention relates to the technical sector of the protection of

  certain types of roofing for buildings or vehicles.

  More particularly, the invention finds a particularly advantageous application, without however being considered as limiting, for the protection, of roofs or pavilions, of caravans or

  similar vehicles, of the motorhome type.

  According to the invention, the problem posed is to ensure the protection of this type of roof against bad weather and in particular against hail. At this

The cover (1) is shaped in shape and dimensions to adapt, on request, to all types of roofs. Generally, the cover (1) has a rectangular shape. This tarpaulin is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to be very resistant and waterproof. This type of tarpaulin is perfectly known by

  The spacer elements (2) are rectilinear and of a generally parallelepipedal shape being of length equal to or substantially equal to the width of the sheet (1). As indicated below, these elements (2) are intended to be arranged transversely with respect to the length of the sheet. The spacer elements (2) are made of rot-proof polyethylene foam. As an indication but not limiting, these elements

  spacers (2) have a cross section of 50 x 100 mm.

  The fixing of the spacer elements (2) relative to the cover (1) is carried out by means of tubular sleeves (3) fixed on one of the faces of the cover (1). For example, the sleeves (3) made of the same material as the sheet (1), are fixed by welding or the like, to the sheet (1) and preferably at regular intervals. The sleeves (3) are shaped in section to allow the free engagement of the elements (2) which are therefore simply slid inside said sleeves to be easily disassembled. The sleeves (3) can be of length corresponding substantially to the width of the sheet (1) or be in the form of independent sections constituting loops (3a) (Figure 4) and arranged in

  alignment across the width of the tarpaulin.

  After engagement of the elements (2) in the different sleeves (3) of the cover (1), the latter are supported on the roof (T) acting as a spacer to create a vacuum between said cover (1) and said roof (T) in order to ensure air circulation, thus creating a thermal barrier while preventing the sheet (1) from being directly in contact with the roof making

  The entire cover (1) has temporary fixing means with respect to at least part of the building or the vehicle.
