Abstract

The vehicle seat consists of a seat back (3) and a seat (2), mounted on the body work (6) of the vehicle. The seat back has a section, which folds down towards the front, by pivoting around the horizontal transverse axis. The seat is also mounted to pivot forward, around its front lower edge. A safety device (21) is fitted and consists of a control lever (22), which is arranged to stop against a carrying arm (31), solid with the tilting seat back, such that when the seat back is in the forward position, the lock (14) is prevented from moving towards the unlocked position.

Description

Vehicle seat with seat tiltable to

  the front, and vehicle comprising such a seat.

  The present invention relates to vehicle seats with a tiltable seat forward, and

  vehicles with such seats.

  More particularly, the invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a backrest and a seat which extends between a rear end close to the backrest and a front end remote from the backrest, the seat being adapted to be mounted on the vehicle body at by means of a front link and a rear link, the

  backrest with at least one folding part (made up

  The device which has just been described works

as following.

  First of all, as shown in FIG. 5, when the upper part 2c of the seat is moved into a rear stop position by means of the

  slides 5, the control lever 9 is arranged under the

  said upper part 2c and is not accessible to a user. From this rear stop position, if the upper part 2c of the seat is moved forward so as to make the control lever 9 appear at the rear of the seat, but without exceeding a position predetermined upper part of the seat, then the plate 25 belonging to the frame of the seat is located above one of the longitudinal branches 9a

  of the control lever 9, as shown in FIG. 6.

  The user therefore still cannot operate the

  via command 9, since the aforementioned branch 9a of

  this control lever then abuts against the plate 25.

  When the upper part 2c of the seat is

  placed in the front stop position, or at least when

  that said upper part 2c is moved sufficiently forwards, the plate 25 of the seat no longer interferes with the longitudinal branch 9a of the control lever, but said branch 9a is then located below the lower arm 24 of the lever control 22, as shown

in figure 7.

  As long as at least one of the two parts 3a, 3b of the backrest is in the raised position, the transverse rod

  dirty 27 of the control lever cooperates with the circular edge

  area 31 of the flange 30 corresponding to this part of the backrest to maintain the control lever 22 in its low position, which further prevents actuation of the

control lever 9.

  Finally, as shown in Figure 8, when

  therefore can lift the control lever 9 to

  lock the two rear anchors 8, which raises the

  control lever 22 by penetrating the trans-

  versal 27 in said cutouts 32.

  As shown in Figure 9, actuation of the control lever 9 rotates the control finger 17 of each rear anchor against the bias of the spring 18, which allows the latch 14 to pass into its unlocked position under the action of his jurisdiction

  , by releasing the corresponding transverse rod 13.

  In this position the cam 20 comes to slide under the control finger 17, which blocks this finger

  At the same time, a spout 33 belonging to the ver-

  rou 14 of each rear anchor 8 comes to rest on the

  corresponding transverse rod 13, lifting slightly

  the rear end of the seat.

  From this position, it is possible to

  rotate the seat 2 around the axis X2, as shown

  At the same time, the control fingers 17 and the control lever 9 return to their position of

Claims (10)

  1. Vehicle seat comprising a backrest (3) and a seat (2) which extends between a rear end (2b) close to the backrest and a front end (2a) remote from the backrest, the seat being suitable for be mounted on the vehicle body (6) by means of a front link (7) and a rear link (8), the backrest presenting   minus a folding part (3a, 3b) which can pivot   ion a first transverse horizontal axis (X1), between a raised position of use and a folded position where said foldable part is substantially parallel to   the seat, the front link (7) being adapted to allow   be a pivoting of the seat (2) around a second transverse horizontal axis (X2) between on the one hand, a position   of use where said seat extends substantially horizontally   horizontally, and on the other hand, a tilted position towards   the front where said seat is arranged substantially vertically   wedging, the rear link (8) comprising at least one latch (14) which can be actuated by control means (9) and which is movable between on the one hand, a locking position o said latch is adapted to cooperate with the vehicle body (6) by locking the seat in position   of use, and on the other hand, an open position   rusting said lock releases the seat by allowing it to pivot about the second axis (X2), characterized in that it further comprises a safety device (21) comprising a control lever (22) which   pivots around a horizontal transverse axis (X5), this   control sink being arranged to abut against a door   tee (31) integral with the folding part (3a, 3b) of the   backrest as long as this folding part is not in position   folded down position, preventing the movement of the   rou (14) towards its unlocking position, and said le-   control sink being movable with the lock (14) of the rear link when said folding part of the backrest is in the folded position. 2.
