Abstract

The automatic system encourages correct hand washing procedures, linking the operation of the tap and door lock. The system provides control of access to a toilet cabin which includes a hand washing basin (3). The hand basin includes a tap (4) and a sensor which detects whether the tap is turned on or not. There may also be a sensor using an electromagnetic signal to detect the presence of the hands under the jet of water. These sensors are used to control a device (100) associated with the door lock (10), such that the door is automatically locked when the hand basin is in use. The locking of the door may be effective for a certain minimum duration once use of the hand basin is detected. A manual over-ride control may also be provided.

Description

The invention relates to a device for controlling

access to a toilet.

  Conventionally a toilet includes: - a bowl, - a lavemains provided with its tap and - a door with its lock controlling access and

leaving the room.

  Strict hygiene rules must be observed in all circumstances and, a fortiori, when these places are connected to places of production and / or preparation of food products. In the food industry and, in particular, in food preparation companies, it is indeed necessary to set up a policy ensuring the cleanliness and the non proliferation of bacteria, microbes or others.   Referring to the drawing, it can be seen that the toilet 1 cabinet comprises a bowl 2 of "WC", a urinal and a

hand basin 3.

  A door with its lock controls access to the cabinet.

  This hand basin is fitted with a tap 4.

  Conventionally, this tap comprises: - a body 5 housing a shutter 6 and - a means 7 for controlling the shutter to move it

  between an open position and a closed position.

  According to a characteristic of the invention, this lavatory comprises: a device 9 for detecting, on the one hand, the operation of the tap and, on the other hand, the presence of hands under the jet of tap water and a means 100 for deactivating a device 10/30 associated with the unauthorized opening of the door, such as a siren which starts when the door is crossed without having

washed hands.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, the device comprises: on the door, a lock 8 with electrical unlocking and - a means 10 for controlling the unlocking of the door in response to the detection of the use of the tap in the presence

  These elements constitute the means of controlling access.

  The detection device 9 comprises means 11 for

  1. Device for controlling access to a toilet comprising: a bowl (2), - a hand basin (3) provided with its tap and - a door controlling access to the room, this device being CHARACTERIZED in that it comprises: - a device (9) for detecting, on the one hand, the operation of the tap and, on the other hand, the presence of hands under the jet of tap water and - a means (100) deactivation of a device (10/30)   associated with the unauthorized opening of the door.   2. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that it comprises: on the door, a lock (8) with electrical unlocking, and - a means (10) for controlling the unlocking of the door in response to the detection of the use of the tap in the presence of hands under the water jet for a minimum period. 3. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the detection device (9) comprises means (11) for   monitoring by emission reception of an electro- wave   magnetic in an area under the water jet.   4. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the valve comprises a means (12) motor for the operation of the shutter in response to the detection of this part of human body monitored.   5. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that a time counter (13) is provided on the system to oblige to wash your hands at least the necessary time and   enough to get rid of germs.   6.
