Description

HIGH DEFENSE POST FENCE
The present invention relates to a fence, in particular for protecting an area housing an electrical installation, comprising posts between which extends a vertical grid, each post comprising an upper end.

 The protective fences generally encountered include defenses whose angle of orientation relative to the posts which supports them is difficult to modify according to the needs of the user.

 The object of the invention is to remedy the drawbacks mentioned above by providing a fence which includes defenses which can be oriented in order to produce a tablecloth effect preventing any intrusion, while giving the fence a personalized effect for each user.

To this end, according to the invention, a fence of the aforementioned type is essentially characterized in that a Y-shaped defensive piece, called a flap, is fixed on this upper end so as to extend towards the outside of the area to be protected, this defense piece comprising
- a first branch, forming a fastener, fixed to the upper end of the post; and
- Second and third branches, respectively oriented upwards and downwards, and comprising guide means connected together by a sheet of barbed wire each formed from a core carrying brambles.

The fence according to the invention may possibly also include one or more of the following characteristics
- the second and third branches are turned towards the outside of the area to be protected
- The second and third branches are located in the extension of one another and together form a concave part comprising a central part and two free ends, and whose concavity is turned towards the outside of the area to be protected
- the clip is located outside the area to be protected and turned towards the outside of the area
- the guide means slide each of the barbed wires
- The guide means comprise at least one ring whose inner diameter is greater than that of the brambles and which has a slot for introducing the core of the barbed wire
- the shape of the insertion slot inhibits the withdrawal of the wire after tensioning this wire
- the second (10) and third (11) branches comprise three rings carried respectively at their two free ends and at a midpoint of its central part
- The post is hollow and the fastener comprises fixing means on the post which obstruct the upper end of this post; and
- the posts are electrically connected to each other and the flaps are electrically connected to the posts which carry them, the assembly being earthed.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of part of the fence according to the present invention, this fence consisting of a succession of posts identical to that shown and intended to support a fence
- Figure 2 is a side view of the post of Figure 1; and
- Figure 3 is an enlarged side view of the flap shown in Figures 1 and 2 and supported at the upper end of the post.

 The fence 1 according to the present invention consists of a succession of posts 2 which support mesh panels 3, as shown in Figure 1. The posts 2 are located along the perimeter of an area to be protected A, which is located at the bottom of Figure 1, opposite the post 2 with respect to the mesh panel 3.

 Each post 2 consists of a tubular profile in the height direction, made of galvanized steel. This post, intended to withstand very strong winds, is immobilized substantially vertically, in the ground, at the level of its foot 5, by any known means.

 Each mesh panel 3 has meshes 6 whose surface meets safety standards. Alternatively, each panel can support a decorative element consisting of a perforated aluminum sheet in order to improve the general appearance of the fence while creating a certain degree of opacity.

 Each post 2 supports, at its upper end 7 opposite the foot 5, a defensive piece 8 also called a flap.

 The flap 8, shown in Figures 1 to 3, can be considered as a part of general shape in "Y" consisting of a first branch 9 fixed to the upper end 7 of the pole 2 to form a fastener, and second 10 and third 11 branches which are oriented upwards and downwards respectively.

 The first branch 9 is fixed perpendicular to the profile 4 by two stiffening elements 12 and 13.

 The first branch 9 is therefore substantially horizontal and oriented towards the outside of the zone A to be protected. The stiffening elements 12 and 13 are located at a rear end 14 of the first branch 9 and are oriented downwards to be fitted at the upper end 7 of the post 4.

 The second 10 and third 11 branches came integrally with the first branch 9, at a front end 15 of this branch 9. These second and third branches are located in the extension of one another to form a concave part 16 comprising a central part 17 and two free ends 18 and 19. The two branches 10 and 11 are hollowed out to reduce their resistance to wind and may include stiffeners (not shown).

 The concavity of the concave part 16 is turned towards the outside of the zone A to be protected and the second 10 and third 11 branches are therefore turned towards the outside of this zone. The second branch 10 moves away from the profile 4 and the third branch 11 approaches it. The central part 17 is integral with the front end 15 of the fastener 9.

 The central part 17 and the free ends 18 and 19 comprise guide means 20 which slide barbed wires 21 each formed from a core 22 carrying brambles 23 so as to form a defensive ply 24 (Figure 1) .

 The guide means 20 comprise three rings 25 formed integrally with the central part 17 and the free ends 18 and 9. The rings 25 have an inner diameter greater than that of the brambles 23 and have a slot 26 so as to insert the core 22 of barbed wire 21 inside this ring.

 After having inserted each barbed wire 21 inside each of the three rings 25, the wires are tensioned and the shape of the slot 26 in each of the rings is such that the wires 21 cannot be removed.

 The flap 8 therefore forms a defense part whose orientation of the second 10 and third 11 branches can be adapted to the needs of the user. The general concave shape of all of these two branches also makes it possible to give the web 24 of barbed wire 21 an aesthetic effect. In particular, this form can be parabolic.

 Alternatively, the fastener 9 includes a reinforcement 30 of substantially square shape. This reinforcement extends horizontally to the vicinity of the ring 25 carried by the central part 17, and vertically along the element 12. This improves the resistance of the assembly.

 The flap 8 is made of aluminum, so that it is electrically connected to the posts 2, themselves grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock to the user of this fence.

Claims (10)

 1. Fence, in particular to protect an area (A) housing an electrical installation, comprising posts (2) between which extends a vertical grid (3), each post (2) comprising an upper end (7), characterized in that a Y-shaped defense piece (8), called a bib, is fixed on this upper end (7) so as to extend towards the outside of the area to be protected, this defense piece (8) including  - A first branch (9), forming an attachment, fixed to the upper end (7) of the post (2); and  - second (10) and third (11) branches, respectively oriented upwards and downwards, and comprising guide means (20) interconnected by a sheet (24) of barbed wire (21) each formed of a core (22) carrying brambles (23).  2. Fence according to claim 1, characterized in that the second (10) and third (11) branches are turned towards the outside of the area to be protected (A).  3. Fence according to claim 2, characterized in that the second (10) and third (11) branches are located in the extension of one another and together form a concave part (16) comprising a central part (17 ) and two free ends (18, 19), the concavity of which faces outwards from the area to be protected (A).  4. Fence according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the fastener (9) is located outside the area to be protected (A) and turned towards the outside of this area (A).  5. Fence according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the guide means (20) slide each of the barbed wires (21).  6. Fence according to claim 5, characterized in that the guide means (20) comprise at least one ring (25) whose internal diameter is greater than that of the brambles (23) and which has an insertion slot (26 ) of the core (22) of the barbed wire (21).  7. Fence according to claim 6, characterized in that the shape of the insertion slot (26) inhibits the withdrawal of the wire (21) after tensioning this wire.  8. Fence according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the second (10) and third (11) branches comprise three rings (25) carried respectively at their two free ends (18, 19) and at a midpoint of its central part (17).  9. Fence according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the post (2) is hollow and the fastener (9) comprises fixing means (12, 13) on the post (2) which obstruct the upper end (7) of this post (2).  10. Fence according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the posts (2) are electrically connected to each other and the flaps (8) are electrically connected to the posts (2) which carry them, the assembly being grounded.
