Abstract

The post is made of a metal tube. The tube (1) is made of folded metal sheeting and the edges (3) are soldered together to form a closed tube. There are a number of openings (2, 2) arranged in two lines running along the length of the post. The two lines are offset in relation to each other. Each opening is an inverted U shape with the asymmetric flanges (22a, 22b) positioned in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the post. The centre is angled in relation to the axis of the post. Alternatively each of the openings (2) may be Z shaped with flanges arranged in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the post and with a flange which is angled in relation to this axis. The post may be stamped (4) to give it greater rigidity.

Description

"PERFECTED POST FOR WINCHES AND THE LIKE"
The present invention relates to an improved post for trellises and similar applications (for example, fence posts or palisades).

 Usually, these posts are obtained from folded metal sheet. The simplicity imposed by the limitation of costs is limited by the short useful life of the assemblies which result from the assembly of the folded sheet.

 Another construction limitation lies in the complex (or, at least, numerous) operations which are necessary to form in the posts the means for securing the wire.

The improved post for trellises and the like, according to the present invention, therefore overcomes this problem by being structured in a metallic tubular profile with the following features:
- Closed and uniform section.

 - Tube in folded sheet, whose edges are butt welded.

 - Holes for mooring the wire in rows offset from each other in height.

 Figure 1 shows in two phases, elevation, figure la, and profile, figure lb, an example, not limiting, of practical realization of an improved post, for trellises and the like, according to the invention.

 Figure 2 shows in two phases, elevation, Figure 2a, and profile, Figure 2b, a non-limiting example of another practical embodiment of an improved post, for trellises and the like, according to the invention.

 FIG. 3 represents a plan view corresponding to FIG. 1.

 FIG. 4 represents a plan view corresponding to FIG. 2.

 The present invention relates to an improved post, for trellises and the like, structured in a tubular metal profile (1), the length of which defines the height of the post.

 According to the invention, this profile (1) is obtained from a folded sheet (elliptical framework) with its ends opposing end-to-end and joined together by welded assembly (3), which provides structural continuity on its entire surface, both externally and internally.

 The tubular profile (1) thus structured may comprise, FIGS. 1 and 3, longitudinal stampings (4) diametrically opposite (in particular, diametrically opposite according to their smallest diameter) to give it additional rigidity.

 The tubular profile (1) comprises, in all cases, a plurality of orifices (2) distributed in two diametrically opposite longitudinal alignments, (in particular, diametrically opposite according to their largest diameter).

 In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the orifices (2) have an inverted "U" configuration, with wings (22a), (22b) asymmetrical in length and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile (1) and a core (21) oblique.

 In the embodiment shown, Figure 2, the orifices (2 ') have a configuration in "Z", with wings (22') equal to each other and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile (1) and a core (21 ' ) tilted.

 In particular, and in the same profile (1), the orifices (2) or (2 ') of a longitudinal alignment are offset with respect to those of the diametrically opposite alignment.

 The materials, the dimensions, the proportions, and, in general, the other accessory or secondary details which will not alter, will not change or will not modify the essence of the invention, may be different.
