Abstract

The anti-slide mechanism is a piece of material (2) placed on the edge of the earpiece of a telephone (1). The material has a high friction coefficient. When the telephone is place on a flat surface (4) the friction pad prevents a sliding force (F) caused by the telephone chord (3) from sliding the telephone.

Description

 The present invention relates to an anti-slip device intended for telecommunication devices to allow them to remain placed on a plane at the location desired by the user.

 Currently, telecommunication devices and in particular telephone handsets connected to their station by an electric cord placed on a horizontal or inclined work surface inevitably slide.

This inconvenience may cause deterioration of the device, if it falls, and considerably hamper the operator in the exercise of his function.

This phenomenon is due to 3 factors: 1 ") Axial tensile stress of the deployed spiral cord, due to its spring effect.

20) Axial tensile stress of the cord deployed or not, due to the dead weight of the cord.

 3) Very low coefficient and friction surface of the device body / plane.

 The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback. To do this, it includes a pad fixed to the body of the device and located in the contact area (s) of the device body / laying plane.

This pad also offering a large contact surface is made of material having a very high coefficient of friction. Thus, when the user places his telephone handset on his work surface, it remains in position. The comfort and productivity of the workplace is increased.

According to particular embodiments: - the pad, by way of nonlimiting example, can be a thermoplastic or silicone elastomer or even a thermoplastic with magnetic charge in the case of use on a metal work surface.

- The pad can be an added part or be an integral part of the body of the telecommunications device in the case of overmolding.

With reference to FIG. 1, the device is defined by the part 2. The part 2 is secured to the body of the appliance 1 and is inserted between the laying plane 4 and the body 1.

The part 2 has a shape offering a large contact surface with the plane 4. This surface and the nature of the material of the part 2 are such that they make it possible to resist the stress F exerted by the bead 3; F resulting from the force linked to the self-weight of the cord 3 and the spring effect thereof.
