Abstract

The combined ash tray/coin holder unit is fitted in a recess inside the cabin of the motor vehicle, and has a hinged cover (10). The unit has a box-shaped body (1) and a second box (3) that can be rotated inside the first. This second box is open at both ends and has a central transverse dividing wall. It is rotated through 180 deg so one end opens upward. The two halves of the rotating box are intended to be used one as an ash tray and the other as a coin holder. The coin holder side is formed with a number of vertical projections (8) that form coin holders, allowing coins to be stacked edge-on inside the coin holder.
