Abstract

The machine comprises a frame (3) in the shape of a cradle with a horizontal spindle for receiving a round ball. It has an endless transporter (10) with teeth (11) displacing transversely to the longitudinal axes of the cradle and the ball along the bottom (9) and an inclined side wall (6). This transporter unwinds the ball and rolls it to deliver the layer thus unwound transverse to the outside above the upper edge of the side wall. Upstream of the upper edge in the displacement direction of the layer and outside the frame is a second transporter (13) displacing transversely to the upper edge. Teeth (14) on the second transporter divide the layer leaving the frame and deliver it laterally in the divided form.
