Abstract

The spectacle frame, consisting of a lens surround (3) and hinged side-pieces (6), has each side piece hinged to a bracket (5) which passes through a hole (7) in the frame surround and is fastened by a screw (10) through a second hole (9). The side piece bracket can have a projecting tip which engages with a socket in the frame surround, or the bracket can fit into a slot in the side of the surround.
