Abstract

This device makes it possible to carry a receptacle comprising a bottom (2), side walls (4) and an opening (6) allowing access to the interior of the receptacle. It comprises on two side walls (4) substantially opposite, a part (8) of elongated shape movable between a position for carrying the receptacle, in which one end of the movable part is located substantially at the level of the opening (6) of the receptacle and where the other end is oriented towards the other movable part (8), and a rest position in which the movable part (8) is stored along the corresponding side wall (4), gripping means (10) being provided at one end of each movable elongated part (8).

Description

The subject of the present invention is a device making it possible to wear a

receptacle, in particular a basket or

well a child car seat.

  Baskets or car seats known generally include a handle to allow them to wear. This handle is generally a tubular or solid part, of any profile, connecting two opposite side edges of the basket or the car seat forming a spanning arch

the opening of the receptacle.

  It is known to make the handle of a basket or a car seat pivoting. Thus, in a transport position, the handle is substantially vertical and in a folded position, it substantially matches the shape of the opening of the receptacle, so that it does not interfere with the entry or exit of goods in basket or the placement or removal of a child in the car seat. Despite this possibility of pivoting, known conventional loops have drawbacks. First of all, they do not allow the receptacle to be comfortably carried. The user who carries this receptacle by taking the handle in one of his hands, the door so that the palm of his hand is facing backwards or forwards, while it is easier to carry a load when the palm of his hand

is oriented towards the body.

  In addition, when it is particularly a car seat, the pivoting handle is an obstacle for the child placed in the seat. If the child has reached the maximum height to fit into the seat, when the handle is folded down, it may hit his or her head or feet. Even before it reaches the maximum size, it may happen that during the pivoting of the handle the child has a limb protruding from an edge of the seat and there is a risk of jamming this member between the handle and an edge

of the car seat.

  The invention therefore aims to provide a device for carrying a receptacle so that the transport is ergonomic and does not cause discomfort when the receptacle no longer needs to be transported. For this purpose, the device it proposes is a device for carrying a receptacle, in particular a basket or a child seat, comprising a bottom, side walls and an opening allowing

  to access the inside of the receptacle.

  According to the invention, this device comprises on two substantially opposite side walls, an elongate piece movable between a position for carrying the receptacle, wherein an end of the movable part is substantially at the opening of the receptacle and the other end is oriented towards the other movable part, and a rest position in which the moving part is stored along the corresponding lateral wall, gripping means being

  provided at one end of each movable elongate piece.

  In this way, the means for carrying the receptacle are not likely to jam something, or a member of a child when they move from an active position to an inactive position. The jamming occurs between the means for carrying and the opening of the receptacle for the receptacles of the prior art. Here, since to move from an active position to a rest position it is no longer necessary that the

  means to carry go towards the opening of the receptacle, the risk of jamming disappear.

  In the stowed position, the means for carrying the receptacle do not hinder access to

  the interior of the receptacle since they are arranged along two side walls of the receptacle.

  As regards the manner of carrying the receptacle, it is sufficient to position the gripping means at the end of the moving parts so that they are in an ergonomic position when the moving parts are in the active position. Advantageously, the gripping means comprise a handle articulated at the end of the movable elongate piece. Thanks to the articulation, the handle can take a folded position in the position

rest.

  In a preferred embodiment, each elongate movable piece is a longitudinally sliding piece in a housing provided for this purpose in

the corresponding side wall.

  Other embodiments are possible.

  The moving part could for example be a pivoting piece articulated at the opening of the receptacle. It would then pivot between the active position for carrying the receptacle and a folded position

  against a side wall of the receptacle.

  When the moving part is a sliding part, the housing is preferably made by fixing a flange on a side wall of the receptacle, a light allowing the passage of the movable part being provided at the opening of the receptacle. This solution allows quick mounting of the moving part on the receptacle. However, it is also possible to fix two slides, one on each side of the moving part to guide

this one in translation.

  To prevent the moving part from leaving its housing, it has at one of its ends, on two opposite sides, cylindrical journals, with an axis perpendicular to the axis of the part, cooperating with abutments arranged substantially at the the opening of

  receptacle so as to limit the sliding of the moving part.

  The limitation of the sliding of the part can also be done by jamming, by choosing for example,

  for the moving part, a trapezoidal shape.

  When a flange is used to define a housing for receiving a moving part, this flange is advantageously riveted to the corresponding side wall. In a preferred embodiment, the moving part is an elongated rectangular shaped piece, of small thickness relative to its width, and made of a synthetic material. This piece then has a certain flexibility and flexibility and can adapt to a housing with a slight curvature. It is then easier to adapt the device according to the invention to

  receptacles whose walls are curved.

  self. The device according to the invention is shown in the drawing with reference to a child car seat. The latter comprises a receptacle provided with a bottom 2 for receiving a child and padded for this purpose, side walls 4, opposite, to keep the child in the seat without risk of falling and an opening 6

  defined by the free edge of the receptacle.

  The car seat represented in perspective on the

  Figure 1 comprises a device for carrying it.

  This device is shown in more detail in FIGS. 2 and 3. It comprises in particular a movable part 8, sliding in a housing provided for this purpose, and at the end of

  which is pivotally mounted to a handle 10.

  The moving part 8 is a piece of synthetic material of elongated rectangular shape. Its thickness is small compared to its width. For example, the thickness is of the order of a few millimeters while the width is of the order of a few tens of millimeters. Thus this moving part has a certain flexibility. The handle 10 is pivotally mounted at one end of the moving part 8. The pivot axis extends along the corresponding width of the moving part, ie it is in the plane of the part 8 and is

  perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the part 8.

  The other end of the movable part 8 is provided with two cylindrical pins 12 projecting on either side of the moving part 8, so as to define a

  axis parallel to the axis of the pivoting handle 10.

  The housing in which the movable part 8 slides is made by fixing a flange 14 on a side wall 4 by means of rivets 16. This flange 14 has a wall substantially parallel to the side wall 4 on which it is fixed and shaped substantially rectangular. On three sides, it has a flange allowing its attachment to the side wall 4 and to maintain the wall of the flange away from the side wall 4 so as to define the housing in which the movable part 8 slides. On the fourth side, which is at the opening 6 of the receptacle, the flange 14 has a

  cutout 18 for the passage of the moving part 8.

  The portion of the movable part 8 comprising the cylindrical pins 12 is engaged between the flange 14 and the side wall 4. The journals 12 have a diameter substantially equal to the distance between the wall of the flange 14 of the side wall 4. This diameter is greater than the thickness of the movable part 8. Thus the trunnions 12 carry out the guidance of the moving part 8

  in the housing defined by the flange 14.

  A stop 20 is provided for each pin 12 at the cutout 18 of the flange 14. It is an integral part of the flange 14 in the sense that the cutout 18 is such as to allow the free passage of the body of the moving part 8 but no trunnions 12 that protrude from

each side of this piece 8.

  The end of the movable part does not include the trunnions 12 and which carries the handle 10 is outside the housing. When the movable part 8 is engaged in the housing between the flange 14 and the side wall 4, the handle 10 is substantially at the opening 6 of the receptacle. Thanks to the possibility of pivoting of the handle 10 relative to the movable part 8, the handle can be folded along the wall

lateral 4.

  The operation of the device is as follows.

  When the car seat is not transported, the moving parts 8 are each retracted into the corresponding housing between a flange 14 and a side wall 4, as shown in Figure 1 for the handle 10 located

left on the drawing.

  To carry the car seat, the handles 10 are pivoted in the direction indicated by an arrow 22 (Figures 2 and 5) to take the position shown in Figures 2, 4 and 5. The movable part 8 is then pulled out of its housing by acting on the handle 10 in the direction of an arrow 24 (Figure 5). Once the trunnions 12 bear against the stops 20, the movable parts 8 can pivot to move closer to each other until the handles 10 face each other and are against each other

(Figure 6).

  It is possible to provide at the pivot axis of the handles 10 a snap to hold them in the position shown in Figure 6. Such snapping is known to the man of the

  trade and is not shown in detail in the figures.

  To replace the moving parts 8 and the handles in their rest position, once it is no longer useful to carry the car seat, the moving parts 8 are pivoted using the handles 10 around the pins 12 of so as to be aligned with their housing and then pushing on the handles 10 in the opposite direction to the arrows 24, the moving parts 8 return to their respective slots. It is sufficient to rotate the handles 10 in the opposite direction to that of the arrows 22

  to find the rest position of the device.

  During these movements, there is no risk of striking the head or a member of a child in the car seat. In addition, in the rest position, the device according to the invention absolutely does not interfere with access to the car seat. Finally, in a simple way, this device can ergonomically wear the car seat

  because the handles are parallel to the side walls.

  So a person carrying the car seat in one hand can do it by having the palm of that hand oriented

towards her.

  It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the single embodiment described above by way of non-limiting example; it embraces on the contrary

all variants.

  Thus, the moving part is not necessarily a sliding part. It can also be for example a pivoting part. One end of this piece is then pivotally mounted at the opening of the receptacle and the latter is shaped so that the movable part can pivot between an active position to carry the receptacle and a rest position in which it is located. is folded against a side wall

of the receptacle.

  In the case where the moving part is a sliding part, it is not necessary to create a housing in which the movable part can slide. Tracks

guidance may be sufficient.

  The shape of the moving part is not limited to a rectangular plate and this part can be made of other materials than synthetic materials. It could for example be a profile made of an aluminum alloy. Finally accessories may complement the device according to the invention. A return spring may be provided to return the moving parts to their rest position. Similarly, elastic means can

  remember the handles in a given position.

Claims (5)

  1- Device for carrying a receptacle, in particular a basket or a child car seat, having a bottom (2), side walls (4) and an opening (6) for accessing the interior of the receptacle , characterized in that it comprises on two substantially opposite side walls (4), a piece (8) of elongated shape movable between a position for carrying the receptacle, wherein an end of the movable part is substantially at the level of the opening (6) of the receptacle and o the other end is oriented towards the other movable part (8), and a rest position in which the movable part (8) is stored along the side wall (4) corresponding, gripping means (10) being provided at one end of each   movable elongate piece (8).   2- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the gripping means comprise a handle (10) articulated at the end of the piece of elongated mobile form (8).   3- Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each movable elongate piece (8) is a longitudinally sliding piece in a housing provided for this purpose in the corresponding side wall (4). 4- Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the housing is formed by fixing a flange (14) on a side wall (4) of the receptacle, a slot (18) allowing the passage of the movable part (8)   being provided at the opening of the receptacle.   - Device according to claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the movable part (8) has at one of its ends, on two opposite sides, pins (12) cylindrical, axis perpendicular to the axis of the piece, cooperating with stops (20) arranged substantially at the opening (6) of the receptacle of   in order to limit the sliding of the moving part (8).   6. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the flange (14) is riveted to the corresponding side wall (4) of the receptacle.   7- Device according to one of claims 1 to   6, characterized in that the movable part (8) is an elongated rectangular piece, of small thickness with respect to its width, and made of a material synthetic.
