Abstract

The synchronizer for pinion (16A,16b) is mounted free to rotate on a shaft (12). It consists of a hub (14) carried on a shaft and joined to it in rotation. A control sleeve (18) is mounted to slid axially on the hub (14) which has internal coupling teeth (28) joining it in rotation with the hub (14). When at either of its extreme positions, it engages with the complementary teeth (30A,30B,32A,32B) provided on the two toothed gears (34A,36A,34B,36B).
