Abstract

The chamber (A) has a connector (C) for a catheter. It has a hollow cigar-shaped body with four anchoring holes in a flattened base and parallel lengthwise ribs in its upper surface. An inner or outer protective element prevents perforation of the base. The connector lies coaxially with the chamber to allow a catheter to be inserted through it. The chamber is made, e.g. from a supple, elastic and biocompatible material such as a silicone elastomer. It can be used to contain fluids which are mixed together inside the chamber before administering to a part of the body.
