Abstract

Dispositif d'articulation permettant un pivotement dans un plan déterminé et d'amplitude limitée, utilisable pour la réalisation d'une prothèse de doigt. Il comprend une tête sphérique (10) introduite sans jeu dans une cavité hémisphérique (20) qui comporte, saillant transversalement de son fond, une paroi (3) dont le bord supérieur (30) est rectiligne, perpendiculaire à l'axe de la cavité (20), la tête sphérique (10) comportant une gorge (11) dont le fond (12) comprend dans le sens longitudinal une partie médiane (13) arrondie concentrique à la tête sphérique (10) et deux parties (14, 15) rectilignes tangentes à la partie médiane (13) et faisant un angle correspondant à celui de l'amplitude désirée, la largeur de la gorge (11) étant au moins égale à celle de la paroi (13), et sa profondeur au droit de la partie médiane (13) étant au moins égale à la plus grande hauteur de la paroi (3).

Description

La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif d'articulation permettant un pivotement dans un plan déterminé et d'amplitude limitée, susceptible d'être utilisé pour la réalisation d'une prothèse de doigt.
Dans de nombreux domaines il est nécessaire de recourir à un organe d'articulation permettant de faire pivoter un élément par rapport à un autre, dans un plan et selon une amplitude limitée.
Les dispositifs existants à ce jour sont, pour être fiables, relativement complexes, donc couteux, particulièrement lorsqu'ils sont de très petites dimensions.
La présente invention a pour but de proposer un dispositif d'articulation pour la réalisation d'un pivotement dans un plan et d'amplitude limitée, dont la conception simple autorise sa réalisation en petites dimensions, permettant notamment son utilisation en chirurgie orthopédique.
Le dispositif objet de la présente invention se caractérise essentiellement en ce qu'il comprend une tête sphérique introduite sans jeu dans une cavité hémisphérique, ladite cavité comportant, saillant transversalement de son fond une paroi rectiligne perpendiculaire à l'axe de ladite cavité, ladite tête sphérique comportant, dans sa partie hémisphérique opposée à celle solidaire de la pièce à articuler, une gorge périphérique dont le fond comprend dans le sens longitudinal une partie médiane arrondie concentrique à ladite tête sphérique et deux parties rectilignes tangentes à ladite partie médiane et faisant un angle correspondant à celui de l'amplitude désirée, la largeur de ladite gorge étant au moins égale à celle de ladite paroi, et sa profondeur au droit de ladite partie médiane étant au moins égale à la plus grande hauteur de ladite paroi.
Selon un mode de réalisation particulier du dispositif selon l'invention, la paroi saillant du fond de la cavité est une goupille traversant la pièce comportant ladite cavité en passant par cette dernière.
Les limites de pivotement sont obtenues lorsque les parties rectilignes du fond de la gorge viennent en butée contre le dessus de la paroi saillant du fond de la cavité, et les positions relatives de ladite paroi dans la cavité et de la gorge définissent le plan de pivotement qui peut être courbe.
Les avantages et les caractéristiques de la présente invention ressortiront plus clairement de la description qui suit et qui se rapporte au dessin annexé, lequel en représente un mode de réalisation non limitatif.
Dans le dessin annexé
- la figure 1 représente une vue en coupe partielle selon le plan longitudinal médian perpendiculaire au plan de pivotement d'un dispositif selon l'invention.
- la figure 2 représente une vue en coupe longitudinale médiane selon le plan de pivotement du même dispositif.
- les figures 3a et 3b représentent la même vue pour les valeurs extrêmes du pivotement.
Si on se réfère aux figures 1 et 2 on peut voir que selon l'invention l'articulation entre une pièce 1 et une pièce 2 est réalisée par l'intermédiaire d'une tête sphérique 10 solidaire de la pièce 1 et logée dans une cavité hémisphérique 20 pratiquée dans la pièce 2.
La pièce 2 est traversée par une goupille 3 qui traverse également la cavité 20 à proximité du fond de celle-ci et de façon médiane, en passant dans une gorge 11 pratiquée dans la tête sphérique 10.
Le fond 12 de la gorge 11, de section transversale semi-circulaire, comporte dans le sens longitudinal trois parties, une partie médiane 13 arrondie, concentrique à la tête sphérique 10, et deux parties rectilignes 14 et 15 tangentes à la partie médiane 13.
Sur les figures 3a et 3b on peut voir que les valeurs limites du pivotement sont obtenues lorsque les parties, respectivement 14 et 15, viennent alternativement au contact du bord supérieur 30 de la goupille 3.
Les caractéristiques du pivotement sont fonction de l'angle que font entre elles les parties 13 et 14 du fond 12, et de l'angle que font celles-ci avec l'axe longitudinal de la pièce 1.
I1 est à noter que la pièce 2 comporte sur le bord de la cavité 20 une échancrure 21 permettant l'engagement de la pièce l lorsque l'angle de pivotement est très important d'un côté (figure 3b).
On notera également que la pièce 1 peut échapper de la pièce 2, l'articulation sera donc complétée de moyens de rétentions, non représentés, qui peuvent être élastiques, et on choisira l'emplacement de la goupille 3 par rapport au fond de la cavité 20 et la profondeur de la gorge 11 en fonction de l'amplitude du jeu entre la pièce 1 et la pièce 2 que laissent subsister lesdits moyens de rétentions, afin que la goupille 3 demeure dans la gorge 11.
Le dispositif d'articulation selon l'invention permet avantageusement, du fait de sa conception simple et donc des possibilités de miniaturisation que cela offre, d'être utilisé pour la réalisation d'une prothèse de doigt et plus particulièrement une prothèse de l'articulation métatarso-phalangienne.
Dans le cas d'une prothèse de l'articulation métatarso-phalangienne, la pièce 2 est solidarisée à un métatarsien et la pièce 1 à la phalange correspondante, la rétention étant réalisée par les ligaments et les tissus.
La conception simple d'une telle prothèse autorise une fabrication à un faible coût par rapport celui des prothèses existantes, tout en permettant la reproduction du mouvement naturel.

Claims (4)

REVENDICATIONS
1) Dispositif d'articulation permettant un pivotement dans un plan déterminé et d'amplitude limitée, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une tête sphérique (10) introduite sans jeu dans une cavité hémisphérique (20), ladite cavité (20) comportant, saillant transversalement de son fond, une paroi (3) dont le bord supérieur (30) est rectiligne, perpendiculaire à l'axe de ladite cavité (20), ladite tête sphérique (10) comportant, dans sa partie hémisphérique opposée à celle solidaire de la pièce (1) à articuler sur celle (2) comportant la cavité (20), une gorge (11) dont le fond (12) comprend dans le sens longitudinal une partie médiane (13) arrondie concentrique à ladite tête sphérique (10) et deux parties (14, 15) rectilignes tangentes à ladite partie médiane (13) et faisant un angle correspondant à celui de l'amplitude désirée, la largeur de ladite gorge (11) étant au moins égale à celle de ladite paroi (13), et sa profondeur au droit de ladite partie médiane (13) étant au moins égale à la plus grande hauteur de ladite paroi (3).
2) Dispositif selon la revendication 1 caractérisé en ce que la paroi saillant du fond de la cavité (20) est une goupille (3) traversant la pièce (2) comportant ladite cavité (20) en passant par celle-ci.
3) Prothèse de l'articulation métatarsophalangienne caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend une tête sphérique (10) introduite sans jeu dans une cavité hémisphérique (20), ladite cavité (20) comportant, saillant transversalement de son fond une paroi (3) dont le bord supérieur est rectiligne, perpendiculaire à l'axe de ladite cavité (20), ladite tête sphérique (10) comportant, dans sa partie hémisphérique opposée à celle solidaire de la pièce (1) solidaire d'une phalange et à articuler sur celle (2) comportant la cavité (20) et solidaire du métatarsien correspondant, une gorge (11) dont le fond (12) comprend dans le sens longitudinal une partie médiane (13) arrondie concentrique à ladite tête sphérique (10) et deux parties (14, 15) rectilignes tangentes à ladite partie médiane (13) et faisant un angle correspondant à celui de l'amplitude désirée, la largeur de ladite gorge (11) étant au moins égale à celle de ladite paroi (13), et sa profondeur au droit de ladite partie médiane (13) étant au moins égale à la plus grande hauteur de ladite paroi (3).
4) Prothèse selon la revendication 3 caractérisée en ce que la paroi saillant du fond de la cavité (20) est une goupille (3) traversant la pièce (2) comportant ladite cavité (20) en passant par celle-ci.
