Abstract

The coffee making machine has the filter holder (7) mounted so that it can be pivoted round a vertical axis (16) to withdraw the filter holder from the case (1) of the coffee maker. A handle (9) projects horizontally beyond the case, and is rigidly attached to the filter holder to swing it round the vertical axis. The case of the coffee maker is generally cylindrical in shape, with a recess in the upper part to accept the filter holder in its working position. The outer face of the filter holder is shaped to conform to the profile of the outer case, giving a smooth line when the filter is in the working position. The filter carrier locks (22,23) in position when fully engaged.
