Dans ces conditions, la molette de sertissage 35 intervient selon un mode opératoire classique pour réaliser l'agrafage périphérique entre le bord du fond et celui du corps de boîte. Avantageusement, on a pu déposer un joint 38 en matériau élastomère à l'intérieur du fond, au voisinage du bord de l'ourlé. Ce joint 38 (figure 9) vient participer à l'étanchéité de l'assemblage.
