Abstract

The arrangement provides a mounting for a drive shaft (1) of a motor vehicle, in which a bearing (6) is positioned between a transmission housing (3) and the shaft. A further centring ring (9) is also positioned axially between the bearing and the shaft, and this is tensioned against the bearing by a spring (10). The spring may enclose the shaft coaxially, and may be supported on it by a collar (11). The ring may have an axial slit which extends along its full length, and may also have grooves in order to allow radial deformation.
